Like without oryx. What do they have? Nothing really. A forerunner like races almost wiped them out if oryx didnt get the power to take. How sad.
I bet comic thanos can beat them and yes without the infinity stones.

3 RepliesThe Ecumene was a hella big and advanced empire when the hive first encountered it, and I believe they were still relatively young. But as mentioned below, Oryx did get the power to take and so he destroyed the ecumene. The hive have since had a lot of time to become stronger. Besides, even if the hive are eradicated, the worms will probably find a new species to enact their will.

15 RepliesBut Oryx did get the power to take. And now someone else has that power.

9 RepliesThey have a bunch of stuff, but just to list one of many, they literally have mobile moons that they converted to go around space invading everything. Not to mention what the Dreadnaught did to the rings of Saturn

It’s like you’re suddenly forgetting Savathûn and Xivu Arath...

5 RepliesWithout the infinity Stones? Not a chance, Although that does kinda bring up the similarities of both sides army's. Thanos has those mindless Alien monsters, the Hive have thrall Thanos has those gorilla creatures, the Hive have ogres Thanos has a big ship, the Hive have the dreadnought (which is way bigger) Thanos has the Chitauri, the Hive have Knights and Acolytes But yeah, the Hive are still a pretty big threat considering they have worm gods to spare as well as the goddess of trickery and the goddess of war up their sleeves. Besides, Oryx could just take Thanos and call it a day

5 RepliesEdited by Tilman G: 6/15/2019 5:02:25 AMThe hive built all of their strength on their worms, and the darkness. When we lost our light we still had our strength built from other sources(though not much strength) so we were still able to function. If the hive lost their worms, they would die out since they lost their only source of power
oryx being the obvious exception
also due to the hive have short lifespans that the worms also somehow extend
this is why they have the missing skin and exposed bones, they out live their bodies a little is the direct reason
The cabal and fallen never had the light or dark as a power
well the fallen had the light but they used its power for transportation and not war. And then Ghaul had the light after he built himself up showing how power without light and dark is just as meaningful as power from light and dark
And both fallen and cabal are on a similar level as the other races(ignoring the fact that their numbers are few)
edit: this is most likely hard to follow, so I apologize ahead of time for that
7 Replies<It's like the Vex. Both are powerful on a grand scale, but it's the Taken macguffin that saves the day for the Hive. Without them, they would've been pushed back ages ago. Doesn't matter to the Darkness.>
