Is the hush bow worth it?

1 ReplyI patrolled Tangled Shore the other day hip firing a Subtle Calamity, and I was surprised by how easy it is to hit precision shots with a hip fired bow, even though, that makes no sense at all in any context. I may work on the pinnacle over a few seasons, but I dont use bows, so its not something I'm going to grind for.

i would say it depends what platform you play on, what activities you want to use it in and whether or not you like using bows, from what i have seen its far better on pc. i have it on ps4 and i would say its ok, in pve the signature perk isn't too hard to activate because the enemies will stand there and let you shoot them, in pvp not so much. i mainly got it for opening shot though, it will pretty much guarantee a head shot when ads. a subtle calamity or arsenic bite is probably better overall on console.

(I'm on PS4) It's fun to play around with, but unless you're some crazy Hawkeye, you're not going to be able to make use of the perk that much. It's clearly meant for PC.

I have it. It’s incredibly fun if you love to use bows. I enjoy using it in Gambit primarily but also Strikes, Adventures, blind well and some daily’s. You also want to put freehand grip on it will help. But it’s fun using it with Nightstalker and going camo all the time for the first shot. If you’re a bow enthusiast, go for it.

It’s probably the most accessible pinnacle weapon to earn. I’m getting it if only for that. But I am curious to see how it performs in my not-so-skillful hands haha

2 RepliesIt is the best/most accurate of this bow archetype. And shooting 7 arrows in 2 seconds is pretty fun. It also procs on cabal shield crits. You get a 7 second buff with instant draw. So 1 hipfire crit can be followed by 6-7 ADS shots with faster draw.

If you like using bows then yes if no or on the fence about it then it’s not a priority.

Its worth it on pc, don’t bother getting it on console. Hit registration, aim assist and 30 frames seriously destroys the bow on console. On pc you are more accurate, hits register better and you don’t really need aim assist, the 60 frames also makes the bow much smoother to use.

It honestly depends. Do you like bows? Do you like a good grind? Are you good at hip-firing? If so then yes. To be honest I have not gotten the bow, but I can see some drawbacks. For example, hip-fire headshots are not easy in the first place, especially on a bow. I wouldn't use it in a boss fight, because who uses a bow to damage a boss? And in PvP it seems like it would be hard to activate the perk but the draw speed bonus might be good. So it is very situational. If you like PvP, bows, are good with hip-fire accuracy or just want to full your collections, then I would recommend it.

No, hip firing even with opening shot and a free hand grip is still inaccurate. The draw time after a crit hit is so satisfying. But if you miss the first shot you'll notice how slow the default draw speed is. In pvp garbage. Hit that first hip fire shot or you're dead. In pve weirdly enough Vex are hard to crit with it. Scorn with the little shields is annoying AF. Only for boss damage I like it. You just keep hitting that crit spot over and over. Feels good. On spider tanks it's the most fun to use. But overall in both pve and pvp there are way better options for the energy slot. I say just play gambit. Eventually you'll get it and have 7 free enhancement cores.
