Where's the lore for the new pinnacle weapons?
It is notably absent and a missed opportunity. Did Bungie just completely forget this?

4 RepliesI doubt it, though a part of me wanted to read about why they named the grenade launcher the “Wendigo”. Obviously it’s based on that one creature, though I was curious to see if the Warlocks encountered something like it.

They cant be bothered to think of anymore stories that might break the lore. Wendigo had a perfect opportunity so did hush. Revoker i dont know

3 RepliesLegit bummed out about this. The pinnacle weapon lore bits were really nice for contextual story on the weapons. Oxygen in particular is just a nice piece. Also, Peregrine Greaves, Astrocyte Verse, and Kephri's Sting do not have lore tabs.

Breakneck was an auto rifle that Drifter has been holding onto since the Dark Age. Loaded Question was a fusion rifle that Cayde basically commissioned Banshee to make. Cayde died, so now we have two of his guns. Also, Redrix’s Claymore/Broadsword have something to do with Redrix, but I haven’t really looked into it. Edit: Realized you were talking about the season 7 pinnacle weapons. Disregard this post.

Wendigo was given to Zavala by some Warlocks off some mountains and he is looking for someone worthy to wield it. Evidence: The flavour text for the quest when you pick it up from Zavala.
