Yes the menagerie proves that it could work, but the mechanics from heroic public events and the corrupted strike prove why it wouldn’t work.

You literally cannot fail the menagerie, it’s not proof of anything

Yep, had a run take basically every encounter before we got to the boss because 4 of the randoms ignored the mechanics. People give the average blueberry too much credit.
-
And you never had this happen to you in a raid? First run of COS with LFG was basically retrying the first encounter 10 times cause two dudes kept switch sides or hitting bug orb. I cant tell you how many times I have tried running clan mates through LW up to what's his face on the bridge to finally give up couse of disconnects in communications over mic. So please explain how lfg or clan mates make it a sure success story?
-
Who is saying that lfg is guaranteed to give you a perfect run for the raid? Bad players still exist on lfg, but it's still going to be better than if you had to play with those people and nobody was talking. Also, you can kick bad players on lfg, that's not possible with matchmaking.
-
It would have to. kick function on a matchmaking raid is a must. The point I was trying to make was even with chat your not safe from morons.
-
We haven't seen any kick function in any matchmade activity up to now, plus they'd need to spend the time making a vote-to-kick option. True, but I'd still argue that you're going to be better off with lfg more often than matchmaking, since you can inspect a player before they join.

I feel you.
