You have several questions in your posts and have hidden them quite well in your feedback, discussion, and story, which makes the questions a bit hard to find, and one of your questions isn't actually a question and is instead a feedback/complaint/problem about how something is working. You also didn't post in the help section and instead posted in the Destiny forums meant for discussion and the like by the general player population. So, combing the fact that your post looks like a discussion and not a help request thread and that you posted somewhere other than the help forum, it's very likely that someone that could assist you didn't get eyes on your thread. I cannot speak for the nonreplies in tweets and the like, but I can say that if you worded them in such a way as to appear more like feedback than a question, that could lead to nonreplies from the Help twitter, as generally, feedback or feature requests aren't help requests. Sadly, I cannot find your initial posts to help them directly, as you have purposefully changed your Bungie settings to disable viewing your post history, so I will do my best to answer the one thread you linked. - Your first issue (since you didn't ask it as a question) seems to be a complaint or misconception about your Taken King Collector's Edition license not transferring from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One. So, to discuss that issue, I'll note that the only licenses that transferred for free at any point were Destiny (the base game, and only if you purchased it digitally during a certain window of time), The Dark Below DLC, and House of Wolves DLC. The Taken King license never transferred for free, nor did any collector's edition content license for any version of Destiny. Your save data, however, did transfer over, thus why you still had the items on your characters. Concerning that issue, there is nothing to resolve; sadly, your licenses were not part of the free upgrade license transfer from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, and that content is no longer available to purchase. Because the content is no longer available to purchase directly, those items will forever be locked and unusable on your Xbox One version of Destiny without purchasing the upgrade. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/destiny-the-taken-king-digital-collectors-edition-upgrade/bxk1swf19tc3 - Next, concerning your microphone issue on PC. Are you on Windows 10 or a different version? If you're on Windows 10, after Microsoft did the update that changed the default behavior of what programs and apps can access your microphone, did you go into your settings and change it back so that all apps can access your microphone? If you are or aren't on Windows 10, what other troubleshooting steps have you taken in order to try and get your microphone to work? Have you gone into your sound settings and disabled/enabled Exclusive mode? Have you tried deleting your cvars file to see if that fixes the issue? Have you tried scanning/repairing? Have you tried uninstalling Destiny 2 completely and reinstalling? What, exactly, have you tried to do to fix your issue outside of trying multiple microphones? The fact that multiple different microphones don't work but they work in other software you use makes it sound like a specific Windows setting is pointedly blocking Destiny 2 from using your microphone, or that you have a setting in Destiny 2 that is keeping you from using your microphone (such as having it muted or disabled in settings), or that your installation of Destiny 2 is faulty and needs to be repaired or reinstalled. - Lastly, just to make sure you understand, since you mentioned the recent information dump stream we had about changes coming to Destiny, it should be noted that Cross-save is just that, cross-save; your characters will be available on other platforms. Much the same as your initial problem with The Taken King Collector's Edition content, licenses will not be transferring between platforms. I just want to point out this bit because you mentioned the ViDoc while also having the aforementioned issue.

I'm not sure if it was just awful forethought or what... but I really feel those should have had the same treatment as Eververse items. To randomly be locked out of highest power in-slot items after upgrading console to play the new expansion at launch with no possible fix is just... awful. To only just now be told it was intentional years later is... frustrating and disheartening. I had really hoped it was some oversight or bug of some sort. At least I finally know at least. edit: interesting that it's available for purchase again now... must be relatively recent. Maybe something to do with the Bungie/Activision split.

  • I checked the Destiny and blizzard settings multiple times, with it set to push-to-talk as well as with it set to open mic. I'm on windows 7 professional, firewalls and antivirus have Destiny set as trusted etc. I've tried changing what the default recording device is set to as well as checking in battle.net settings to confirm. I have run microphone tests in the battle.net settings with no issue, discord and every other game has no issue. I have not tried deleting cvars nor am I completely sure where that is found, and I have not tried a full uninstall (The issue has been a thing ever since the initial install)

You can check here for specific instructions about deleting the cvars file: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46407 If the issue has been there since the initial install, then it could be a file corruption that's not being detected by a scan and repair. While it's unlikely that a scan & repair will miss an issue, it is possible, so reinstalling may be your best bet. If deleting the cvars file doesn't work for you, I'd suggest a complete uninstall, then going in and making sure to delete all remnants of Destiny 2 from your computer by manually going to the installation folders, your appdata, and the like and deleting everything you can find for it. After doing so, reinstall and see if your issue is fixed. Hopefully, simply clearing the cvars file will fix your problem, as reinstalling can be a pain, but it may be necessary for you to fix your issue. Good luck and I hope one of the above helps.

  • I can give it a try... any idea what to try if none of the above works? While I think it's unlikely I missed anything in possible settings, it's not impossible. Other than obvious audio settings and properties, and firewall settings, I'm not sure what else would be potentially blocking destiny from registering any of them...

  • If reinstalling entirely doesn't work, I'd suggest creating a new post on the #help forum so other people with more experience with the PC version of Destiny 2 can assist you. They may come up with further ideas or settings that might need to be tinkered with. When you post, please make sure to state what you stated before: that you tried multiple different microphones and they all work with other programs, but specifically don't work with Destiny 2. You should also post your dxdiag just in case it's necessary, and please make sure to mention your operating system. This will be your best bet in getting the help you need.

  • Will do, and thanks again... the only other thing I can possibly think of though is Destiny 2 specifically not liking particular hardware or something if a reinstall doesn't work... will see what other people have to say on the matter but I feel like there is a possibility this may be something that will need developer treatment. Scan and repair found nothing so I guess I start a reinstall and see if that does anything.
