A little over a year ago, I ran into a thread here by a user named Galtharis. He was advertising a Destiny roleplaying server on Discord, and as someone with an interest in both writing and the game's lore, I thought that I'd give it a try - RP is basically collaborative writing, after all.
Since joining D2RP last April, I've been involved with or otherwise audience to a 3-month-long expedition of the Leviathan, an even longer boss rush leading up to Riven in the Dreaming City, two murder investigations, a handful of both Guardian romances and rivalries, a manhunt across Nessus for a Warlock of questionable morality, some Exotic equipment quests, a recreation of DOOM 2016 with Hive in place of demons [Acrius makes a fine Super Shotgun], and at least a dozen conversations on whether or not Exo having "reproductive drives" means that they're capable of having sеx.. I could go on for pages about the things I've witnessed.
Naturally over this much time, there have been a few changes. Plenty of people have come and gone - 543 exactly, based on the invite link stats. The server, its staff, roles, and rules have been reorganised twice. We had a few writers split off to do their own thing and later rejoin. But its core - a community of people who, like me, were interested enough in Bungie's story to extrapolate on it - remains the same.
On the other hand, our range of writers, writing styles, and stories is anything but the same. Some people prefer casual, one-off missions while others like myself set up continuity-heavy plots that can run for months. We've got sections for solo journals, intel files, and the occasional art piece. Some make Guardians, and some take the different route of writing from the perspective of an Eliksni or Hive. Some characters end up being immortal glorified murderhobos, while others have the actual jobs and responsibilities you'd expect of a living world.
Anyway, the short of it is that we're still around. And if at any point while playing you ever thought about your character's life, how they'd realistically react to a situation outside the limitations of game mechanics, or how the lesser-explored aspects of the lore interact with the whole - you'd fit right in too.

Thank you for letting yourself be known to me. Muted for degenerate Fanfiction/Roleplay. But it sounds like a nice thing for you degenerates to go circlejerking each other off away from the Lore forums and out of sight from the public eye with your cringe worthy fanfictions and roleplaying.

Me and a group do something similar (You may have heard of us, FanFiction Unite) and would it be fine if the group (There's about 10 or so people who Rp) joined? We already have characters and the like, but I believe it would be very interesting to join. Note: We may or may not join, depending on what the group wants

My headcanon has 1 odd feature. I have a wolf I found as an abandon cub and tried to keep it alive it died after a year but we found a guardianless ghost and convinced him to rez the wolf

Not my thing, but good on you guys for having the confidence to do that stuff. Just so long as it's there, not here. But good on you!

Hello future Guardians! I am Kiaser116, known on the server as Sera, Ghostless guardian. I can tell you, right here, right now, that this is the most fun, engaging, and active server that I have ever been on. One of my characters is Boris. He is Russian, a guardian, and I made him to help the new guys (thats you!) start up in the server. So, why not take the jump. Its not like we ask for payment (or your soul) and there are plenty of people that are here to have fun, so why not give it a go. Fight on Guardian!

Is this a clan?? I’d love to have a roleplaying clan. If not maybe we could start that up somehow?
