What jobs have the friendliest and unfriendliest people?
Where I live:
Bus drivers are oftten unfriendly. The women that work in the post office outlet are unfriendly too. I hate going there seeing their stupid grumbling faces.
Hospital nurses on the other hand are very friendly.

1 ReplyMost people working for non profits tend to be incredibly nice. I guess it’s because those jobs pay less then the same job for a for-profit company so the people there actually want to do it instead of just being there for the money.

Where I'm from, depends on the bus line and specific drivers. Most are pretty chill and helpful if you treat them with respect

I have never had a bad experience at GameStop. Best Buy employees are usually pretty nice.

I agree with the bus driver thing. They’re usually pretty grumpy but I can totally understand why. Not only do they have to deal with a lot of bullshit from the public, but they also have to deal with the bullshit on the roads. You couldn’t pay me enough to be a bus driver (or a cab driver).

The people who tend to be the unfriendliest are people who have jobs where they have lots of responsibility, but very little autonomy or control. They're not particularly friendly because that kind of job is stressful and frustrating...and it can make them short-tempered and rude at the smallest---additional---frustration.

People that work in service, like waitresses or baristas, are obviously the friendliest, because they have to be.
