Why Ada 1 is an important Exo
That's just it, Ada emphasis on ONE. Cayde admits to being "Reset" more than six times, Saint reset fourteen times and Banshee FOURTYFOUR times, yet Ada is still on her first "Life" since becoming an Exo, as well as being mentally stable, [b]especially[/b] for someone who has been around since the beginning of the dark age.
I have a theory to this, Ada 1 was constructed outside of Clovis Bray, given some the implications given by Cayde's Lore, Exos don't need to be reset, its something whomever is behind the Deep Stone Crypt, so Ada is unaffected.

2 RepliesWe know for a fact she wasn’t a Clovis Bray Exo. That’s a known fact, not a theory. So yeah, she was only given her Exo body once. Which is why she has the 1 in her name.

Well she was constructed outside of Clovis Bray according to the lore. I thought her mother and the other black armory founders were former Bray workers so they might have known how to convert someone into an exo, and Ada-1 was made into an exo after her group was ambushed by a group of rouge risen. That’s why she hates guardians so much.

3 RepliesI think she is also an older generation of exo. If you loot at her mouth it is just s speaker/voicebox as opposed to an actual mouth.

Maybe the memory wiping process with Braytech Exo’s causes them to need resets over and over again? Do Exo’s have their memories wiped when they are made? I can’t remember. Because if so, maybe allowing them to keep their past memories helps stabilize them more.

In the lore, she was on the run with her fellow armory members. When they were caught by the bandits, she had to run, while her mother made a heroic last stand. Ada used the tatara gaze (or more likely Izanagi's burden) to snipe the bandits from cover. When you look at her, you can clearly see it was the first time she had used such a powerful gun. She wasn't prepared for the kick. She has a very tell-tale mark on her eye, caused by the recoil of the gun bashing the scope into her face (in my opinion, I don't think it's mentioned anywhere.) She hasn't shown any signs of DER, which makes you wonder if it wasn't a deliberate glitch in Braytech programming to keep their weapons from becoming their own enemies.

She wasn't made at brayteck like every other exo, and never was reset. She took the name 1 after her "mother" died and her personality changed to a colder more jaded view of of world

Edit: Nevermind, just reread the final Black Armoury paper and Henriette (her mother) says she specifically became 'Ada-1' when she was digitized. So I guess Exo's get a freebie number on upload. On the topic of what it might signify with Ada, a few extra things need to be considered. 1. Ada was only a young girl when her concious (or rather, sub-concious) mind was transferred into the 'robo-brain'. The younger someone is, typically their brains are more reseptive and 'maleable' so to speak. 2. Ada-1 is not a complete conscious transfer of [i]Adelaide[/i]. Reading through the Black Armoury Papers, it's clear that the resulting Exo character was not actually the girl anymore, at least not consciously on the surface. She didn't even know where she came from, with asking questions about literally where she came from and why she was so important, and what life was like before the Collapse.

3 RepliesAda was the daughter of one Black Armory's co-founder and was created on the company's Earth compound shortly after the Collapse, so yeah she was constructed outside Clovis Bray. Ada also displays no symptoms of DER despite the fact that she's been an Exo for around 500-ish years without a single reset. So yeah, Resets are more than likely a tool for enforcement/punishment BrayTech used to keep their Exo in line.
