I can understand, making people grind for things, what your game is all about! That said your RNG is a damn joke, I got my hunter to 700, which is my main, and got no problem there. But I have side burnered my hunter, been focusing on my Warlock and been trying for at least 4 weeks now to get the lunafaction boots, doing everything, except for the raid, just can't get a team together for one, and no boots visited xur for 4 weeks, spent 388 legendary shares to try and get them boots. And today it showed those boots as a possible drop, what did I get? A shot gun! Something I never use in the first place! And wait for it, never will use now. I would like to get them before they get nerfed as is the way with every single item in the game!

3 RepliesJust make sure you have all the exotic weapons first, then get an exotic Engram from Xur as it'll never give duplicates unless you have every piece of exotic gear unlocked for that charecter. Also, not every piece of gear in this game gets nerfed.. Stop exaggerating lol.
-
I would like to get a season of the drifter armor piece but all I get is huckleberrys and Luna’s
-
Lunas have been untouched after a buff from over a year ago dont worry they won't be nerfed before you get them next November
-
Shouldn’t Xur’s engram HAVE to give you Lunafaction boots if thatbthe only exotic you don’t have? Only Forsaken exotics have rng om them from the engram
-
One would think that when a non-quest exotic is introduced in a new season you should be able to get it via RNG sometime during that season but that isn't the case. A system where if RNG has not been kind to you be the end of the season it will drop for you.

5 RepliesWhat surprises me about this is that people still think his drop preview items are the actual drop items. They are nothing more than a preview of some of the items that can drop. I've learned not to assume ANYTHING from people around here so I have to ask... You are visiting him on your Warlock, right? It may seem like a silly question to ask, but I still have to ask it. :) Also... https://www.d2checklist.com/2/huskydog1/collections;id=1573256543 If that is you then you could still go six more weeks before actually getting the boots. Only advice I have is to continue to buy the Engram each week from him (on your Warlock) and hope for the best from RNG. One other thing... Buy ANY weapon or armor he has that you do not yet have. You seem pretty well covered on the weapon end, but if he had offered the shottie before then I would be willing to bet you would not have bought it. 23 Shards for an Armor piece or 29 Shards for a weapon guarantees the removal from the loot pool. Hell of a lot less than 97 Shards for a gamble at not getting it. I've seen several posts from people complaining that they got an item in the Engram that he was actually selling that particular weekend. Sucks, but they simply screwed up by not buying it even though they didn't want it. I've bought quite a few things from him in the past simply to remove the items from the loot pool and KNEW I would never use the item.

2 RepliesEdited by Zer0: 6/1/2019 10:48:30 PMThere's a much better balance to be had with some level of player agency along with RNG. BA (Ada's bounties) and the upcoming content in SoO looks like Bungie is moving to incorporate more agency into rewards. I doubt things like anarchy / 1k voices will ever move away from pure RNG. An improvement would be to have rewards for skill as well as RNG. A top tier reward for something like a petra's run (or possibly a harder triumph) is a decent trade off between skill and dumb luck. Dumb luck gets old, even when its working in your favor. It is the lowest tier of engagement I can think of.

3 RepliesEdited by Lethal: 6/2/2019 2:30:35 AMRNG is a shit reward system for time invested. You wouldnt work a job 40 hours a week to maybe get a paycheck would you? so why spend countless hours trying to maybe get the desired item you want.

RNG is literally random (Random Number Generator) I agree they can make it better in a ton of ways without sacrificing the randomness of loot. Kinda like “Intelligent RNG”.

Edited by Jericho_Wolf99: 6/2/2019 4:04:51 AMUmmmmm. Wait for our to sell them. Play every weekly and daily challenge. Or play and expect not to get them. I played through last wish twice when it first heard of and still new. My second time through it I got a 1 thousand voices. I still get shit from one of my friends. I played scourage of the past maybe a total of 4 or 5 times. On one of my runs i got anarchy the exotic grenade launcher. Both weapons locked behind raids. When I played i never expected to get them and only one of then I was really trying for. (Guess which one I was trying for) But I got both unexpectedly. I went in saying I won't get them because I know my luck. An i got them. Fyi if I have any luck it's bad luck. I went through shit before I got lunas howl because I found a kind hearted person that I still play with and still tell him I don't know how to repay his kindness for helping with getting lunas howl. But still sometimes it takes just playing the damn game and expect nothing put of it then and only then you will receive what you are looking for sometimes. Can't tell you how many times I played through kings fall and never getting the scout rifle till it dropped for me and was promptly kicked because of the sheer luck of not expecting to get it.

That's how I feel about 1K. Not sure if I'll bother with next season because I didn't get 1K this weekend either. Now I will have to wait for the new raid to be beat before I can try again.

2 RepliesEdited by N7_Dredgen: 6/2/2019 1:21:56 AMWe all deal with RNG, but this is just pathetic. Being mad about shitrolls, dupes and repeats is one thing... but being mad about something you didn't even have to begin with, something new - that you will also not get again in the same packages????? The heck is wrong with you? That's the attitude of a spoiled 8 year old. Even when you're getting gifts, it still isn't what you wanted so it's bad. "Whaaa whaaa Bungie gave me an exotic I didn't even have yet but it's not the exact one I wanted so whaaa whaaa." People like YOU are WHY Vanilla D2 was pure garbage and all the exotics got handed out in the first 2 weeks and the game was on life support for months. Please just go away, people like you ruined this game once, let's not do it again. You are just an ungrateful and spoiled twit. Go play with your shotgun, learn to appreciate it - or preferably just go play a different game.

2 RepliesUh as a I main a warlok why Luna? I have never used them Have the Titan drop a rally barricade and ur good to go with better exotics
-
1 ReplyDoesn't the fated engram pretty much give you an exotic if you're missing it? I mean....that's how I got the last of the year 1 exotics back when that's the only ones Xur offered.

1 ReplyI’ll hop on the ghorn train and say get over it guy. That’s why D1 was so fun. You had to actually grind. This isn’t grinding. For everyone who never got a ghorn, I got 2 to drop in the same crotas end run a little after the raid came out. My teammates never talked to me again after that. One mo ting. Play WoW and grind for a rare mount. 4 weeks won’t even get you a common mount
-
Do the Leviathin, secret chests garentee 1 exotic per week
-
1 ReplyI've been maining warlock for 3 months and havent got nezarecs sin. Grow up lol. It's not that big a deal
-
Yeah they should implement a lockout system for random drop exotics so once you get one a duplicate doesn't drop until you have them all.
-
Drop rates are fine. Vanilla D2 gave everyone everything in the first 2 weeks of play. Result? It almost killed the franchise.
-
2 RepliesIKR!! I’ve completed like 8 LW runs and no 1k! 8! Atrocious!!!🤣 And to think it took me 71 WotM HM runs to get the Nanophoenix! Everyone has a white whale they’re chasing in this game.
-
5 RepliesReset infamy 3.5 times, still no bygones.
-
My Rng has been terrible since D1. I've got used to putting up with it now. With season of opulence on the way I expect no different. It even took me 3 weeks b4 my light level was good enough for last wish and scourge. I was angry but had to deal with it. I feel ur pain.
-
12 RepliesYou never played D1 and it shows
-
You’re telling me. I finally just got Shards of Galanor out of a damn Fated Engram. Whoopie, the only guardian who couldn’t enjoy them before the first nerf and now they’ll be complete garbage after the next one -.-

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 6/1/2019 9:46:00 PMWell, what did you expect when a company can't add enough loot to the game. It's called making it a meaningful grind.
Not!
