Honestly I've got pretty mixed feelings on this topic. I expected those things too and you could argue that Bungie could/should have been more explicit about not including them. As for the content we got? Well, it was alright. I liked Scourge. The seasonal activities were ok but most of them run out of replay value for me. Gambit I like (although I know many who dont) but it starts to founder over the same issue as strikes and crucible i.e. a lack of map variety. Sometimes I wonder if they'd been able do things in a different order e.g. if they'd changed the weapons system way back (or indeed just launched with the D1 system) and then given us these additional activities would people look at things differently? I mean, imagine if we got the Osiris dlc now at this stage in D2 with strikes, maps, a campaign, and a chance at random rolls on those 10 Lost Prophecy Weapons in the Lighthouse Forge. I suspect it would've had a much better reception had that been the case.

  • The base expansion Forsaken was great. Everything else was meh.
