From what I can gather, it's not a matter of what was advertised, it's a matter of what they should/shouldn't have done. That's the issue people are having.

What should have been done is that if you did t like the annual pass which didn’t promise or advertise what you wanted you shouldn’t have bought it

Mind you that this is the first annual pass in Destiny so people didn't have any reference to go on. At least the people who are saying this NOW. They're saying this because they're burned out. OR they simply made a comparison to how d1 worked and prefer that. And to that extent, it comes back to the idea of whether the annual pass should or should not be a thing.

Edited by Sen: 5/31/2019 6:13:55 PMI guess they said "i won't knock it until i try it". And subjectively didn't like it. Or, at the very least, liked it for a while, got burned out and are NOW complaining. But with this type of game, you're going to hit that wall anyway.
