Yes, people have to go through an external source to find people who may or may not help.
Why not have something similar built into the game? There's no reason Bungie shouldn't at least try. There's no reason they shouldn't try quite a few things they haven't tried...

If you can’t take 2 minutes out of your life to find people then that’s sad. I’m just glad we have no raid matchmaking and never will. Keeps the trash players from ruining it🤷🏼♂️

Takes longer for some. I don't use LFG but I've heard enough about it to know it's not as easy as some people say it is to find a half decent group that aren't toxic. And as I said, Bungie could introduce something like LFG into the game. Matchmaking wouldn't even affect anyone who just goes in to raid with a team anyway so idk why everyone is so against the idea. Well, I mean I do get it, having players wanting to be carried or are new, etc can slow things down but as I said, it doesn't have to be MM.
