WARNING: This purely a speculation that I had so please take this with a grain of salt.
So it’s been about a week now and people have seen the reward from the ship blueprint from the Heroic mode of Zero Hour and many people seem to not like it. I have spent the last few days thinking why would something like this be a reward for such a daunting task and when I was about to call it quits I remembered something that’s present in almost every item in Destiny. A name/description that is some kind of reference or allusion to something in popular culture. My eyes were then immediately drawn to the numbers on the ship’s name. Mainly the number 7 because of Bungie’s obsession with that digit and any other number related to it. Then I looked at 717 as a whole and realized that it looked very familiar. It looked like a month/day date. I then did some research on July, the seventh month, 17 and remembered that it was that day five years ago that the Destiny beta was released worldwide. With that solved and in my mind I looked at the next pair of numbers, 91. I also did some research on that and learned that in 1991 Bungie was created, but I didn’t stop there with the all the information in mind I decided to do a little speculating, creative thinking, and looking at it from a different angle and I thought to myself “what about the same combination, but in reverse?” And then it clicked, July 17, 2019 the five anniversary of Destiny. Something big might be happening that day and you might want to prepare for it, but as previous said this is just a theory of mine so don’t take my word on it, but do also try to keep it in mind and at least somewhat be ready for something as something big might actually happen this summer.
-Thanks for reading this.

Modern day activision was rebought and renamed sometime in the summer of 1991. Bungie is calling activision trash.

Wall-e will be added as an NPC in the tower

3 RepliesSoooooo.... Half life 3 confirmed!? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

2 RepliesVery perceptive of you, I mean that. But it's real significance is far easier to see and understand : Bungie are testing us constantly and it highlights it loud and proud. - What will we do and how long can they keep us doing it for rewards unknown. I have huge respect for the raid secrets guys who figure these solutions to hidden puzzles that 99% of the player base would never figure out. But the rest of us are running the same thing over and over again, pushing 49 different buttons over and over again and for what exactly? A loading screen wallpaper and an utterly awful looking one at that. As soon as I saw the reward, I quit the quest. It snapped me out of it completely. Everyone needs to wake up and ask yourself, why am I doing this and am I still having fun? If you're finding hidden meaning in the name and you enjoy it then good on you genuinely, but otherwise the ship, the quest and everything about it is a giant waste of time.

2 RepliesMaybe a quest to upgrade the ship with that fallen transponder we still have.

I think the ship is beautiful
-
I don't see why people don't like the ship, it's got that unique space junker vibe too it. I like it anyway, and I need to get it
-
Side note, there’s also 7 terminals per room for the puzzle. There are also 7 different rooms and colors. An awful lot of sevens in this here puzzle. I think you’re on to something. Or nothing at all, and bungie a just being bungie.
-
Yo. That's crazy
-
I was expecting a new model of Nanophoenix since the entire quest revolved around a Siva related gun. I got the ship it's ugly af and the name fits it S Crap
-
You better be right cause I don't know if I should even fly this ship to show off my "achievement" or pretend I don't have it given how... ugl... I mean... unique it is ;)
-
My clan leader also shares you’re theory ( not entirely ) but he thinks the scrap ship will actually turn into something different. Like a way better model.
-
The theory is good but it's still butt ugly bro.
-
That’s.... actually really cool
-
alert alert prepare anus
-
4 RepliesI wouldn't be surprised. After all, at the end of year 1, Bungie released an item called Spoiler Alert with the description: "Someone is going to die."
-
Kojima is genius! Jokes aside, admirable attention to details. Would be nice if something interesting happens. Unless it's some other nerf.
-
Sincere Congrats to anyone who crafts that ship. I myself will not as I see absolutely nothing significant about it. Just my personal thoughts I am not trying to degrade anyone's accomplishments (in game or out).
-
Talk about Game Theory. Nice work, Guardian!
-
2 RepliesBut hey, that’s just a theory, a game theory
-
😳
😳

🤓
-
Huh, would have never caught that
-
Interesting idea, but try not to get held up by the Texas Sharpshooter fallacy. Considering how far you've looked into this, try looking for what isn't there as well. Maybe you'll find something even more interesting.
-
Interesting. Good job!

1 ReplyOr because it’s the Drfters old ship, thus the reason we went back
