Is 21% Delirium worth the grind?

Currently at about 7000 infamy. Figure I could probably bang it out in triple infamy week. It I’m wondering if it’s really worth the grind if I’m already more than fine with Hammerhead and because I absolutely despise Gambit.

  • Is anything in gambit worth putting up with gambit?

    • Yes. Especially if all you need is the infamy reset, the envoy kills took me for -blam!-ing ever

    • The reason it is good is because with 3 stacks of its perk it can easily one shot many red bar adds to the body, and all with headshots. This makes it very valuable for PvE and Gambit, as it has 400+ reserves, allowing it to conserve ammo and rapidly kill many enemies. It is also very effective against majors as the fast fire rate allows for great dps, though the damage bonus is limited to 30 percent instead of 60 percent against bosses.

    • Yep. Higher rof than the other lmg's. The perks make it fun to use. Def worth the grind 💪

    • Yeah it's fun, puts out okay damage. Probably not top tier but it's fun just spreying bullets at things. It's not great in pvp because the stability is a bit harder to control.

    • If you are a hmg user then I would say it is, but IMO a curated hammer head it’s way better.

    • With triple infamy, you’ll get it easily (complete daily bounties everyday). The gun is pretty good, I’ve had it for most of the season. It’s a top pve lmg for sure, I wouldn’t use it to invade, hammerhead destroys it in that department

    • Hammerhead and avalanche are better. Its gimmick can be replaced easily with a rally barricade or lunafaction. Otherwise it's a fun gun to use.

    • I hate gambit aswell but Gambit at the minute isn't sweaty as long as you play the normal one and not prime thats were all the sweats are. Ive been having fun in normal gambit lately it wont take you that long to get a reset atm either get a few bounties and play a few games and it will do it

    • It is the best machine gun!! After 3 kills, it’s like a scout, auto rifle and sniper plus a machine gun. It has 102 rounds at first. The overflow perk puts it at 204-205. It’s been the only weapon worth grinding for.

    • I love it! The overflow perk gives you a starting mag of 204 I believe. Kill tally boosts its power and nice stability on it.

    • I feel your pain when saying you despise Gambit, but I would recommend getting the gun, it works very well in many activities outside of Gambit.

    • It's ok. Thunderlord still has way better crowd control but if you want something else in your exotic slot then 21% is the other arc MG.

    • It's the only rapid-fire Machine Gun in the game. That alone makes it worthwhile I'm my opinion.

    • Yes! It's my main heavy weapon at the moment. I use it now, as much as I used to use thunder lord. It melts adds, and so far, I am pretty successful with it in the crucible. I get about 2-3 kills per heavy pick up with it. The stability could be a tad bit better in my opinion when aiming down the sights, but it's still amazing.

    • It’s like a bargain Thunderlord. Kill 3 adds with it, and it’s good for boss DPS (although the recoil takes some getting used to) and it SLAYS adds. Not to mention the added bonus of auto reload on ammo pickup

Hammerhead is much better with the perfect/good rolls on it. The mashinguns are anyway not for boss so the perk on delerium isn’t that great. Edit: I use it only in Nightfalls or zero hour, because of the arc element sometimes.

For sure man. I grinded this out a couple weeks ago and I do not regret it at all. The weapon absolutely demolishes mobs, and does pretty significant damage to bosses if you can position yourself well. As for enemy guardians, if you can get within optimal range, they're done for, this thing deletes enemies lol. Hammerhead is great for single target damage at decent range (and is one of my favorite weapons) but for clearing multiple enemies you just can't beat 21% imo (besides Thunderlord, obviously)

      • I grinded it out the first week. It's good in certain circumstances, but there are numerous other weapons that thrive just as well. If you just need the infamy reset at this point and you've done the rest, I say go for it. Pick up as many bounties on your characters as you can. (honestly could just do the non-gambit bounties on the other 2) That's how I went to max infamy after breaking getting to the final rank was just doing the non-gambit bounties on all 3 after I did the other steps. I really hated gambit prior to this because I had grinded out resets and everything during season of the forge to grab my Dredgen Title and all that jazz. Breakneck too.
