Literally in every activity I matchmake for, I get matched with the absolute most buttcheeks players to ever walk the earth. They’re mega noobs that HAVE to perform like they just picked up a controller for the first time. In the reckoning, we have warlocks running STORMTRANCE, forcing me to run bubble to even have a chance. We have hunters being ULTRA selfish and running blade barrage WITHOUT shards just cause they think “omg the super is new and looks kool m8” but they refuse to make orbs for the only guy trying to help them complete the activity. In crucible, I match against almost EXCLUSIVELY full teams running Luna’s and NF. And what do I get? Level 20’s with blue weapons and potatoes running auto rifles and sidearms. I end up getting mercied about half of the time because the game is forcing me to match with absolute trashcans. In strikes, I get fools not progressing through the strike because for whatever reason they haven’t completed the pinnacle weapons and are back at the beginning farming fusion rifle/precision kills in a stupid lost sector. Why am I running strikes you ask? Well not only do I want to complete my catalyst collection, but I’m also still trying to get all 3 new season of the drifter exotic armor pieces, and I still don’t have a single one of them. Not to mention, every player I get matched with REFUSES to run the subclass pertaining to that weeks burn, so I CONSTANTLY have to adjust my subclass to match theirs in order to get my weekly milestone. And even then, half of the time they change their subclass by the end FOR WHATEVER REASON and screw me anyways. In gambit, I either get a full team of guys fighting over who gets to invade, leaving me to literally do ALL OF THE WORK, or I get a team of guys who try to jog as many notes as possible, refuse to bank until they have 15-20, and then they promptly die anyways with a full stash. I am so sick of potatoes, but as it stands, I hate having to talk to people even worse. I despise talking to people even more than I despise people being absolute idiots. Those 2 problems actually coincide more than I had originally thought. It’s a no-win situation. And my desire to play the game is being destroyed by the players, not the creators. I actually love this game and I think the state of it is in a pretty good place (despite what other bandwagon kool-aid drinking sheep haters want to regurgitate from their favorite twitch personality). But it’s the people that are destroying my ability to get on and have fun.
