Mithrax or Spider?
So we're in a very special relationship with the Fallen at this point in time, never before have humans and Eliksne worked together in such a way. Spider and his crew helped us avenge Cayde and now keeps the shore relatively in order, assisting vanguard and Awoken supply chains. Mithrax has broken his chains and now works to build a house in our image, together we can build a future brighter then both our Golden ages
But there's a problem... Eventually these groups will come into conflict with one another, I can't imagine the new house of Light is found of the Spider's shady deals and general disregard for Eliksne interests. It would be like us meeting a shady Guardian who works with all kinds of dark groups... And hires us for jobs... And hates the traveler... Oh
Anywho, let's say push comes to shove and you need to pick a side. Who would you choose? Would you honor your alliance with the Spider and aid him in defending his crew from self righteous invaders? Or would you strengthen your bond with Mithrax and exterminate criminals and pirates for the future of the Eliksne people?

Honestly Spider seems like a reliable guy to me. Don't cross him, he won't cross you. Do jobs, get paid. Mithrax is a kell and honestly the Spider is as fair as they come.

I'm all for Mithrax. I mean, I like Spider, he's interesting, but he's also shady and I don't know if I can trust him. So I'm gonna play safe and I'm gonna vote Mithrax.

Oh, Mithraxx all the way. Spider is fun and all, but he's shady, and basically like talking to an underground mafia boss. He has helped in the past, and it is good to keep him on our side, but I don't see him being a real leader in any sort of future conflicts. Mithraxx and the House of Light is leading to a potential Playable Eliksni in the future. Much like the Arbiter from Halo 2, 3,and so on. They might get their light back after however many centuries. Even if bungie doesnt let that happen, Eliksni would be much better off if they would be our allies. They have enough on their plate without all the Hive, Vex, Cabal, Taken, and who knows what else up their rear ends. I had initially thought Variks the loyal would be the bridge between guardians and Eliksni, but it seems Mithraxx and his fireteam is taking that role. Worst case scenario, we end up like Mara Sov and her House of Wolves. MAYBE we get like second Collapse. But I think the guardians could use a little help for a change.

2 RepliesPersonally I would try to form an alliance between both. If that is not possible (for whatever reason, since Spider does not have interest in useless fights) then it would be Mithrax. While I like Spider's way of running his business, I believe we would be able to form a longer lasting and more honourable relationship with Mithrax.

Mithrax gives me some arbiter vibes, so on most days of the week I'd side with him. However, I do enjoy the mobster gig, and the spider pays in cores.

3 RepliesI’m not sure if there would be much conflict between the two. Spider and his crew have always acted in the background and have never sought power outside of the Tangled Shore. Spider probably has deals with all kinds of groups, so why not with Mithrax?

I find Mithrax respects us out of genuine honesty. Spider respects us because we're simply good for business. Plus, I find Mithrax has been in the heat of battle, and even Lore states, that he managed to give two Guardians on his ship courage to fly into battle with him. What does Spider do? Hide a damn cave. He even craves our dang Ghosts. He'll turn his back on us when he finds a better deal. I promise. Mithrax though... I think he will stay with us. Both out of debt of sparing him, and he seems to genuinely consider us Allies. Heres the good question here. Who would you rather have by your side whenever those ships finally attack in the final year of D2, or in D3. A Captain who spared you(Mithrax could have easily killed us in that small prison), and who you then spared. That was out of sheer respect. He then assisted you in getting into the old tower to retrieve an old Pulse rifle that COULD have let a Fallen House access to SIVA, repeating everything from Iron Lord DLC again. Or a... what is Spider, a blob? Okay. A blob who is more shadowy than Drifter, will not think twice about leaving you to rot if he gets a better deal from whatever is controlling those ships. Hell, we had to PAY him to make sure Drifter couldn't smack Vanguard around with information. A possible threat. However, I do think Spider is loyal to the money. That means if we keep him around he could be valuable to us in the coming war.

Mithrax has a much better story, I’m interested in how his alliance plays out in the future. Spyder is just a core -blam!-.

1 ReplySpider. Honestly I like the whole criminal underworld stuff in games and other pop culture. That’s why I like Gotham and batman. As much as I’d like to “fight” (like actually fight and less like zero hour) along spider Mithrax; I enjoy Spider as a character, and would like to see more of him.
