As Long as Season Passes Exist.
This is a looter shooter, but its also a glam shooter. Half the game is finding cool looking skins, of which, most don't exist outside of eververse, and many don't exist outside of buying silver.
This is a fully paid game with paid dlc and paid season passes. There's no reason to go the microtransaction route without just coming off as greedy.

The game gives out a shit ton of eververse items just for playing the game. It really is not an issue
-
It doesn't. Only fools think it does.
-
Optional cosmetic, with no advantage in game, so who cares
-
1. 90% of it has been and will be free. Chill 2. They don’t have to give you it for free. We can go back to D1 where it wasnt free. 3. ITS COSMETIICCCCCC
-
hahahahahahahahahaha
-
Dont see the big deal. If someone wants to spend thats their perogative. Cosmetics are what they are and microtransactions are just part of the industry now. You cant tell me that if you made a game and saw fortnight of some other kindergarten game pulling in zillions of dollars from cosmetic garbage that you wouldnt put a store in your game too.
-
You can earn everything without real money. I do every season. If your unable to yes they allow you to spend money to obtain items. Now they are "listening" and allowing you to buy the specific items. Keep complaining though you'll stop the evil power and create a utopia where bungie works for free.
-
Well I don't, I want your silver.
-
Conceptually there is nothing wrong with microtransactions. Get over it.
-
I'm going to try very hard never to give Bungie another dime again.
-
Man those optional cosmetics that you’re forced to buy
-
If only there was a way to not have to purchase optional cosmetic items 🤔
-
I will buy eververse if I am happy with the state of the game. We are missing crucible maps, strikes, Y1 perks, Y2 collections, and trials.
-
It's a "games as a service" thing. Even though you've paid for the base game, dlc, and season passes the main focus always becomes "how to keep getting a constant flow of money from the players?" Games as a Service Is Fraud: https://youtu.be/tUAX0gnZ3Nw It's long but worth the watch.
-
I remember when eververse first came out bungie said it would pay for dlc.
-
Why not? You realize that there are people out there that would rather pay than grind for them, right? As long as those people exist they have a very good reason to offer the silver solution. Paid only options are garbage imo, but saying you should never be able to pay is just as stupid. Who are you to tell me how to spend my money?
-
I wouldn't care about eververse if this was a f2p game. Yet it's not. We paid full price. Paid for a season 1 pass a major dlc and an annual pass. How much do they think their game is worth?
-
Nothing in a $60+ game should be monetized. That's my opinion and you won't change it.
-
Yeah it’s a shame that a full-priced game based on loot and adventure has most of the loot in a store. Guess that’s a big reason why the playerbase is down 75%.
-
Who cares? If people want to spend money on cosmetics then who’s to judge... Why do you think your “entitled” to every item in the game, would you prefer they just remove those items completely from the game?
-
only have bought one and that was that sniper ornament won't bother me tho if you have money go for it
-
You don't seem to understand the point. Eververse costs real money so that Bungie can make free events like The Revelry. That's where the funding for them comes from. If we didn't have Eververse, we wouldn't have seasonal events.
-
A looter shooter where most of the loot is in the cash shop

Edited by ricstar: 5/24/2019 12:15:35 PMSilver should be a shortcut, everything should be able to be earned ingame with engrams or purchased with bright dust. Even Anthem you can use ingame currency or real money for purchasing items, gives you both methods to pay. Bungo are just totally scummy and just want your money, don't give them the satisfaction. You have already paid multiple times for content, cosmetics should be free(bright dust), rng engrams or your choice to get instantly by paying. We currently are not given a choice.
-
Honestly it’s fine having buyable cosmetics but when they center the game around and make things unobtainable without purchase that’s ridiculous

Edited by Cinderchar: 5/24/2019 10:23:46 PMThe amount of money we have paid into this game for base, DLCs and annual passes is utterly absurd to begin with. The additional MTXs are just insult to injury. But Bungie won’t let MTXs drive the game and offer free content because then they would actually have to make good content and keep the game balanced.
