Yeah, the mods will keep post trending for 3 days that have maybe 25 likes and 50 replies for shaders on a gun, but if you make a post like this...

It's gets buried especially if it's someone some of the mods don't like or if it brings attention to Bungie that they don't like, like my post. They literally do this with every single post I create that is trending that in less of a day it gets buried.

I would encourage you to read my above post in this thread about thread aging and how it works with Trending, we do not remove any posts because they're "trending". The thread you've linked there is over 6 days old. Your thread is still in trending, but it doesn't meet the requirements to be on the front page based on how old it is currently.

Just one more thing. At that time there was only 2 other post that had the same amount of replies as my post. Both of them stayed at the top for a couple days. The rest of the post no one was paying any attention to. A little fishing to me. Especially for the type of poll I created.

Nothing personal, just saying. That post dropped within 8 hours knowing post trend by the replies it gets. Not because it's 6 days old. So if a post has 0 likes, it doesn't matter because it depends on how many replies any post gets. At that time the replies were flooding that post in that 8 hours. yet it dropped like a bad habit.

Edited by Spawn: 5/21/2019 5:29:35 PM
So if a post has 0 likes, it doesn't matter because it depends on how many replies any post gets.
For Trending, this is incorrect. And the "number" that you see on the side of the thread isn't the actual sort score, it's more complicated than that. But don't take my word for it, take Achronos', the guy that actually wrote the code and algorithms - Link 1, Link 2. It's also based on the timestamp of what threads you're comparing it to at the time of viewing. Likes and dislikes do matter and age has more weight to listings at the top. It's fine to argue semantics of why a thread is or is not at trending, but there are many factors that weigh in - all automatic. Believe me, I don't have enough time in the day to go through what needs to be taken care of here let alone Trending posts and decide what goes where nor do I care to, that is not the responsibility of any person here. Make no mistake - there is no manual adjusting of Trending threads happening. I don't think any user here quite understands the scale at which we moderate.

Thank you for the reply. I'll read the link later so I can get a better understanding. Yes, the likes and dislikes do matter. I was just referring to how post can have zero likes and still be trending. My comment about the zero likes was just going off what Cozmo said.

What happened? What post?

There has been a few post the mods have either buried or moved from Destiny 2 forum like the OP post that a minute ago was trending in the D2 forum.
