I'm putting on my spinfoil hat for this one...

So when the nerf to super regenerating exotics are here, the exotics like doomfang pauldron and thundercrash with skullfort will take over. Once thundercrash has cemented itself as being a "good subclass," they won't have to buff it. Once thundercrash doesn't get buffed, people will start exclusively relying on insurmountable skullfort for super energy, and once that's said and done, skullfort and thundercrashes perk will hit the chopping block. With thundercrash out of the way, middle tree sentinel with doomfang will take over as it grants a chunk of energy on charged melee kill and can infinitely extend the super. So they nerf doomfang to give less energy on melee kill and shield toss now grants diminishing returns on hit. It's a perfect 2 for one deal that could be nerfed with the excuse of "too strong for content or was not intended." Meaning they stomp 2 birds necks with 1 foot. So what do we have left? We are back in the exact same place we were before, where the super regenerating exotics look "good" and everyone will forget the nerfs that happened as it no longer seems bad. Now I shall hide away in my hidey hole.
