I really don’t think I want to play anymore. I really feel like bungie could give a -blam!- about us or our opinions.
They want us to play how they want. I get it(to an extent...): they take time to make new stuff, and everyday someone complains about it and calls them names(pvp) or someone finds a workaround that wasn't intended, that negates their intended play design(pve). Then Bungie flexes it's big brain by making difficult raid mechanics or quests like Niobe Labs/Outbreak Configuration, and then punish us for using the same loadouts/methods the streamers whose videos we have to watch to complete those encounters use. When you look at the completion percentages for "endgame" activities, such as raids, and see only 1-2% of the entire player base completes those activities, maybe they feel like their hard work isn't noticed. They blame us for finishing activities too quickly and not playing how they want, not for making something the average person doesn't have unlimited time to sink in to with 5 other people (who have to make time, watch the video, have certain loadouts/classes, practice a few times, attempt and wipe X00 times) to attempt to complete. Maybe they feel like their hard work isn't appreciated, but if it wasn't nobody would have bought The Taken King, The Dark Below, Rise of Iron, Destiny 2, Forsaken, etc... I know I appreciate the hard work. Every time they make things a little bit harder; and every time more people stop playing. So is it the players fault for wanting to play a video game and have fun, or the developers fault for pushing people away with some of their more punishing game design and not playing how they want?

 • The completion percentages will always be low because of Bungie's loot system, which they refuse to ever address. Leaving so much to RNG in this game is what pushes people away. At the beginning of D2 my first clan died after October, because they got sick of running the raid getting junk or nothing worthwhile. The problem with D2 Y1 was it reminded them of the cycle D1 went through so they bailed real quick before getting too invested. Sadly I can look back now and know they were smart to leave early. Not everyone wants to run the same activity 30+ times hoping to get what they want. It's a wasted time investment. When people feel their time investment is wasted they will find ways to cut corners on said investment. Enter cheese strategies, because gamers now cut corners to try and make up for their wasted time on getting nothing.

 • When Bungie needs “player” feedback, they only fly in people who play video games 10 hours a day as a job. So its no wonder they design the new content the way they do. Good for Bungie’s ego, but I perceive it will be terrible for future Eververse and expansion sales. They all must be independently wealthy and don’t care.

 • was it the players who played for 10 hours a day who wanted the luna's and NF nerf? No. it was the casuals (not that I have anything against casuals). I think the players are overreacting a bit and are WAY too aggressive. I think it was the crucible lead designer who got countless messages to "kill himself" and eventually left the company. Constructive criticism is better than mindless complaining. Half the players complain about something but don't know what or how to change it. This is why Bungie flies Youtubers and Twitch streamers down to their headquarters. You don't see any large reddit users go there. It's because the players who play Destiny "as a job" have the most understanding about the game and what's too strong or too weak because they have enough time to use everything.

The streamers look out for themselves first and foremost. The advice they will give will hopefully drive traffic to their sites. This may (and probably does) end up with a product that doesn’t always appeal to the middle 80% of the player base, which is where Bungie will find the vast majority of revenues and margins. To me none of this makes very good financial sense. But I know a lot of very smart people that have very little common sense.
