What the hell was the point in bringing Black Hammer back if you were just going to take away one of the main appealing perks? You might as just remove the damn thing if you're not going to stand by your own decisions. You chose to bring the weapon back, so don't punish us just because you can't balance it properly. This isn't like Destiny 1 when they re-introduced the Black Hammer as an exotic and modified it. You brought it back to its full glory knowing full well that it was going to be top tier, so why are you acting as if this wasn't to be expected? This is worse than the other abysmal nerfs because at least, to a certain extent, you couldn't anticipate how strong they were going to be. But if there was ever a clear indicator that "the team" doesn't actually play your game to any meaningful capacity, then the Whisper nerf proved it. Go on, prove me wrong. Provide us with irrefutable evidence that there was no conceivable way that you couldn't tell this was going to happen. I [i]double[/i] dare you.

Are you reading any of these bungie? Like you guys have been practically silent on every major topic. What happen to the communication? What happen to being more open door about development? Instead we get things that werent even game breaking "adjusted." I mean let's call it like it is at least. They're nerfs due to overuse. Like this is almost petty. They weren't even game breaking. P.s.- if you're going to ruin Whisper in that manner than move it to the special slot. It's pointless as a heavy now.

Bungie you are dead wrong in doing these horrendous changes. You create a good weapon/gear piece then destroy it because we use them too much. Why? Because of the lack of good weapons and gear pieces we have to choose from. People use good gear because it’s good. If you created more good weapons and gear pieces we would have more to choose from and therefore more people would be more diverse in there load outs. Destiny gamers and I suppose gamers in general are very practical. We use what we use because it’s effective. When you destroy our favorite toys it pisses us off. Creating more toys is better than destroying our current ones. Don’t be lazy and nerf us. Reverse these changes! Nerfing is rarely a good idea. And this time it’s a horrible one! Don’t punish us for using items too much! Edit: A good point made by another is that just because Streamers and high skilled players melt bosses in seconds does not mean these weapons are OP. They will dominate no matter what weapons or gear they use. Cater to the the average gamer not the elite. Stop taking our Magic away! It’s what makes Destiny Destiny! We don’t want another generic game like CoD or another Tom Clancy game! We want Space Magic and a lot of it! Season of the Nerfs! RIP Bungie and Destiny!

This game is 100% reverting back to vanilla D2 in the beginning. The communication has slowed way down and they are nerfing everything into the ground. The whole point of grinding to max POWER is to feel POWERFUL. Both Bungie and Destiny are shadows of their former selves and I’m beginning to think the Activision/Bungie split was bad for us. REALLY, REALLY BAD. I’m truly saddened by the ineptitude of all this. RIP

So what about the exotics that still aren’t considered even after all this? Nerfing these particular items won’t make the bad ones better.

You're basically making every weapon and armor exotic you listed there no better than legendaries. The point of Orpheus rig was to give orbs and also get super energy, same with Phoenix and Skull. That way, in the realm of tethers and wells you were constantly able to heal and help your team. Which is the point of raid activities and events like escalation protocol and blind well, right? You keep nerfing things, and really screwing over pve. You have to realize there's people out here that like doing weekly raids with their clan and managing to be helpful in other realms than massive ad clearing.

I hope you give the ammo reserves back to Whisper, since you’re effectively making it a high impact DARCI that you don’t have to reload if you hit crits. Some things are meant to be powerful. In the long run, the whisper really did turn out to be Black hammer 2.0... SMH

RIP Destiny 2. Super returning armor nerf like wtf are they doing, tether and Rigs have been a staple since launch of this game. Unbelievable.

Given the heavy handed changes coming to a number of exotics, why even have them in the game? At least put a name to the quotes from the Dev Team so we know who has taken over from Jon W. and Josh H. for gimping the game even more.

Lord of wolves getting nerfed is absurd, it performs well in PvP but it’s not a must run exotic for any activity, it just makes running the same old crap we have been running since Forsaken launched fun still. Why would anyone think that old content needs to stay relevant if you are adding new content? The TWAB is so tone deaf, and it’s just shows that any hope the fans have of this franchise turning it around is dead.

Honestly considering not playing from now on. I’ve stopped for a while but outbreak peaked my interest. After I get that done I’m out of this stupid game. They literally just ruined every fun weapon we have. I’m going back to D1! Upvote if you want to join me

1 ReplyI've pretty much quit playing D2 anyway because the season of the drifter was awful. I was hoping that the season of opulence would be better. I've been a day one player since D1 but nerfing the game in the ground has gotten really old super fast. Some of the weapons and armor are a little op but look at how much grinding we did to get these op exotics. Way to slap the community in the face bungie. If this is how season of opulence is starting then you can count me out. I want my money back.
