Then the judge said he was a godly man and gave him 12 years instead of 72, if i recall correctly.
1) Who on God's green earth hired that judge and why is he still employed?
2) Any Christian who defends the rapist is NOT A CHRISTIAN!! I don't care what you say, that "pastor" is a piece of scum and he deserves life in prison.
3) What hurts me the most is people saying that Christians excuse that behavior.......we don't. I'll argue that "pastor" was never a christian in the first place.
4) I'm pissed out this whole thing tbh. All i can do is pray for that girl.

Another case of the absurd mentality that people seem to have that “being Christian” is synonymous with “being a decent person.” As if this somehow makes him better or special. I’m sure the devil is blamed or some other such nonsense. Anything to avoid the uncomfortable truth of human nature and to duck responsibility. Same old thing. 🙄

12 RepliesI mean anyone who believes in god is just dumb overall. You silly religious folk are blinded.
-
1 ReplyYou want to see justice? Find out what prison he was sent to and become a penpal to another prisoner. Send that prisoner a clipping of the news article, but talk about something on the other side. Once he realizes, that fine, upstanding, Christian Pastor will be on his knees praying!

1 ReplyThe hardest, most dangerous criminals look down on pedophiles and molesters as scum. They never last long against these guys.

I'm a christian. i support the death sentence for -blam!-. or at the very least neuter them.
-
3 RepliesI’m still split between whether or not -blam!- should get the death penalty, castration, or life in prison. Each one has its own pros in cons. Not any pity for this -blam!- or any child rapist. Asshole deserves to have his dick cut off and used as a butt plug.

2 RepliesWasn't that 14 yr old girl his daughter?

5 RepliesThis is why religion shouldn’t be associated with politics, education, justice, etc.

What's disturbing is even after the police found his semen on her bed and bed frame he has so many people believing he is innocent.

Every once in awhile someone with his/her head up the arse manages to get said arse planted on the bench. A few years back a judge ruled that a Muslim man had the right to beat his wife because it was acceptable in the culture of his origin. When then Govenor Christie found out about it he was pissed off because he didn't learn about it until after that judge received a permanent position and couldn't be fired. So, yeah. Sometimes stupid people become judges.

Religions are good hunting grounds for his sort, usually desperate people, looking for solice and answers from people they feel they can trust. Unfortunately all religions attract these predatory pieces of shit because it enables them to hide behind its seedy veil and literally get away, a lot of the time, with whatever sick depravity it is they like. I wouldn't set foot in any temple, church, synagogue or other house of worship if you paid me, and i certainly wouldn't allow my children too either. Give a man a position of power "godly" or not, and he'll abuse it. And to think that people can approach these "men of god" and seek repentance in the form of confession is absolutely mind boggling.... corrupt through and through.

Wow, thats terrible. Just keep in mind Disciple that we need Salvation because we where all lost and that, as horrible as that is, and as much as he probably does deserve more then what he is getting, that doesnt neccasarily mean he isnt a Believer. Hard as it it to immagine he could do that if he was but, he is still human. Remember God sees all sin as evil, regardless of the specifics. As men, we differentiate sins/crimes/wrong doings in order to determine how dangerous a person is to themselves and those around them. If he is a Christian, his sins are already forgiven, though the earthly consequences still remain, as they should. And if he isnt Saved, well, you and I both know what awaits him...

4 RepliesYou pass judgment as one with authority. “Forgive me of my trespasses, as I forgive those whom have trespassed against me.”

No torment is enough to be satisfactory for ones such as these.

same bro.

I'd give the prick a bullet in the privates, then 72 years in the most hardcore prison I could find.
-
3 RepliesWell, 12 years is still 12 years, and considering how child molesters and pedophiles are looked upon by even the most hardened criminals he won't have a nice 12 years. That being said, yes that judge should be investigated, he should be objective and religion seems to affect his judgement so he isn't fit to do his job. I am an atheist but I am pretty sure most people would condem this behaviour including christians. That being said it does seem to happen a lot by christians so it is a problem, been one for quite some time.
What hurts me the most is people saying that Christians excuse that behavior.......we don't. Happens more with religious people than any other major institution in the country.

Concerning the idea that the pastor was not a Christian. While I hate to phrase it like this, the pastor had a fall from grace, he succumbed to his sin as everyone does. God doesn't see sins as worse than others, so him doing what he did is equivienlt to just a lie that you might say to your boss. Societally the action he did was inexcusable but in God's eyes as long as he repents he is forgiven.

He probably won't make it out in 12yrs.

B) you dont get to decide who is and isnt a "real christian" any more than anyone else. C) yeah. People are gonna use this as an excuse to bash Christians. But ironically enough when a member of a different faith does something bad many of those same people will be quick to remind us that we shouldn't judge an entire group by the actions of degenerates. He didnt do this because he was a Christian. He did it because he had malice in his heart. I get why this whole thing pisses you off, I do, but I don't agree with this "real christian" schtick I see come up sometimes.

6 RepliesJust tell his fellow prisoners what he did. They'll make those 12 years feel like an eternity.

Oh but he's just a MAP and he had to supress his sexuality! They deserve to be part of and protection just like the rest of the LGBTQ+ community! -Twitter (2019)
As an LGBT Catholic, I'm pretty sure neither of those groups claim him. He can -blam!- right off.
