I haven't completed it but I've been improving my time and learning the way I could do it yet some people who haven't done it say the timer needs to be removed while I'm not against removing the timer and rewards for some exploration removing the timer is stupid

13 RepliesDid it several times got it still complaining about it. I play games to have fun and relieve stress not feel pressured to finish somthing quickly.

1 ReplyQuest needs to be 30 minutes for the heroic, 20 minutes for the regular. Generic Destiny 2 players just are not going to have the time/skill in a group of 3 to get to the end without using the menu and map glitch to keep someone from loading in.
-
1 ReplyI actually liked the timer, forced me to get faster, to get better. My first 3 attempts at heroic I was a complete potato on the outside jumping bit 😂
-
3 RepliesNot everything needs a timer though. I have no problem doing the quest, Ive done it numerous times on my own to practice, but this whole “ lets add a timer to make it difficult and create urgency” is just getting old.
-
It the case the vast majority of the time. It's just the usual suspects in the forum who have social/health/can't be bothered issues and then complain when the game doesn't cater to there exact needs. The timer creates urgency which an average player can deal with.

1 ReplyMajority of those I spoke with feel the same as I do. Sick of Timers and Time Gated quest activities. We’ve had our fair share of them throughout D2. Time for Bungie to step up the Dev Game. The tonics in Revelry were a step in the right direction. Many activities became super fun to replay because of the enhancements.

1 ReplyI have the master work. The quest needs more time.

51 RepliesAlmost every piece of new content in this game is timed. One night of your favorite meal is a treat. Having to eat it for every meal for an entire year is torture. And if it isn’t even a meal you particularly like.....
-
Probably. You can def say the ones complaining about the new raid and lock out haven't done it 🤣. It's whatever, the mission had a timer and they'll get over it. Or their spam posts will be buried by more important posts.

It isn’t bad. Before I got a fireteam I tried the mission solo’d , blind and got to Trevor on first run. Got to the boss fight on the second run. Went with a fireteam and did not have as much success because I was trying to go too fast on the jumping puzzle. Definitely have a better rhythm down to the jumps now but there were a lot of deaths because I would die at the end of a jump puzzle, know I am behind and then try to rush through the jump puzzle to catch up. My advice is kill adds as quick as possible but be patient on the jumps. You have plenty of time against the boss with the right team composition.

This quest started on bad week for me. Had a hand injury when something heavy fell on my hands over the weekend before reset. No fractures but enough pain to get me on meds. Also discovered I have lingering arthritis during hand x-rays scans. Yikes! First few tries with friends and couldn't get past the fan puzzle. Next try couldn't dodge Trevor. Hands started hurting so gave up. Next few tries went to boss room but ran out of time. You see the pattern. I was improving with each try. Finally wanted to give up as my hands are more important for my job (I'm a computer programmer) but then got invited by some helpers and tried again. Still slow but my team took care of most of the boss dps while I caught up. I'm sure with more consistent practice I can improve as my hands heal but I can't push this as pain limits my skills. Coming from me, who is a bad jumper I think this is completely doable. So you are right. Practice makes etc

6 RepliesThats the way to do it. Its just repetition to help you get the timing and memorization down. I beat the Heroic version. I watched a couple of walk thrus on the Heroic jump puzzle/maze. Then made a post on LFG, Heroic Zero Hour practice. Found people and we practiced together. After a few tries, I was able to get to the boss and we beat it on the 5th try. I think some people don't want to put the time in to improve as a player.

Edited by dgradykids: 5/12/2019 7:08:08 PMGot past it the first try with out to much trouble. The other guys in my fire team... not so much. It took me 5 different fire teams (because the other guys all quit) before I got a team that could make it past the jumping stuff.
-
I’ll say the first run was annoying as hell. Then it got fun after the 2nd or 3rd. My team finished it on our 4th run then started helping clan members that needed to do it
-
Its easy, whisper was way more difficult. But I got really -blam!-ing pissed when we killed the boss, 15 seconds left to 5 min mark, and the damn flying munchkin killed us, finished at 04:57.... maaaan i was pissed

7 RepliesHave it. Loved the quest. Hated the timer. Took the fun of it out for me.

I practiced until I finally got it, took 5 tries. The gun is awesome and worth the effort. Now I just gotta do the heroic and get that catalyst.
-
Your title covers quite bit of players, I will give you that. But I am sure there are many like me, don’t care for it. I went in there by myself to just see what it is, then I put it off for a couple of days simply there was no incentive for me. I did the lengthy quest in D1 on all three characters and I enjoyed the gun for a long time. There is nothing new for me to be bothered. Then later I got on a team that one of us ‘practiced and made it almost perfect’, viola, we made it on the 3rd try. Did I enjoy the mission? Absolutely nothing!

4 Repliesi complained and done it to max. my complaint its the same old bungo jumping puzzles nothing new just plain boring now

Edited by HK_Mark23_Osprey: 5/12/2019 4:04:01 PMThere is always that debate about where is the line between grind (how quick it gets boring/frustrated before people enjoy the activities) and meaningful contents that motivate players to build up skills thru doing rewarding activities that lead to more non-artificial challenging (vs. The ‘real’ challenge if you could not get three jumps perfect on the first try, you would end up failing the mission) mission/quest. The way I see these “complain” is that some players are tired of all the gears, weapons and grind (leveling up) become less and less relevant to this type of quests that ‘practice make it perfect’. Are we all in the youth league of some sports? When will we ever play something in this game to have fun first?

Best thing to do is jump in solo and learn the way, then once your old with that post for a group with no mic and be done. I've only had the time do it once but was 2 man, didn't think it was that hard tbh with the right classes and weapons. Covering all elements definitely helps.

I complained I didn’t have time to investigate the tower.
