It’s amazing how a multiplayer coop shared world shooter doesn’t cater to solo players.
I bought this multiplayer shared world shooter to play single player.
Why doesn’t bungie let me play the game the way it wasn’t meant to be?

1 ReplyI know the OP is trolling, but you can get a lot done solo, and using the app LFG you can tackle just about anything. Yeah, we don't have an in-game LFG and almost nobody uses team chat to party up, but there are various means to group up and accomplish the few things you can't do solo. Join a clan, use the app to find a fireteam, enter team chat, invite people via your console's party features.

2 RepliesPretty sure there is a substantial number of solo players out there. Destiny unlike Halo (lol missed the friendly trash talks) has quite a bit of hoops to go through before becoming a social butterfly. Voice chat is non existent in-game (think I heard someone cough once) to "To protect the immersive experience". Maybe more options to enjoy the game as a solo player would be welcomed. As the game evolves, there are less and less options for that segment of the population where fun/rewarding stuff must be done with others (unless you're an awesome player or have unlimited amount of gameplay time available). My long time Bungie buddies are long gone and my experience with LFG has been more stressful than a job interview :p That said, still enjoying the game a ton, and thanks to not having much gaming time these days, I'll have enough options to keep me busy for a while.

24 RepliesI would laugh at this but... • There's no way to chat or message anyone from within the game • There's no market to auction items • There's no way to trade with other players • There's no LFG system within the game Yes, it's a shared world but they really went out of their way to make you play by yourself.

Destiny has a pretty big solo community, imo they should definitely cater to them better. Though playing with matchmaking and thorough lfg isn't really a problem=]

45 RepliesIt's amazing that this multiplayer shared-world shooter has a severe lack of social features. It relies almost entirely on outside sources to make it work. It's like they forgot all the social features in a social game.

Even today you have no matchmaking for many activities only the most perfect players can do solo. Bungle is unbelievably arrogant & lazy.
