I finally managed to finish the quest for Malfeasance (my apologies to everyone in Gambit) today. I had intended to have it become a replacement for Thorn. However I hadn't realized it was a 180 until I equipped it. Now I'm not sure which one I should keep and I don't have room in my inventory for both. So what's the popular opinion on the matter?

1 ReplyThorn would be the more versatile of the two. Malfeasance is really only good in Gambit, and everywhere else it's just average.
-
2 RepliesDepends on what you play. If you continue to play gambit then Malfeasance all the way. Thorn just hasn't impressed me at all and I've only died a few times in crucible from it.
-
...you can get either back at any time?
-
Thorn has more interesting perks that work for any activity but Malfeasance feels better

1 ReplyFor what activity? Or shall we guess?

2 Repliesneither one of them really impresses me. malfeasance - so to get the perk to activate - you have to shoot something 5 times. if you're shooting something 5 times and it's not dying.....why are you using a primary? Thorn - just doesn't do enough damage........and i'm not running all over the place like we're playing kill confirmed to pick up the green clouds or whatever they are. i just cannot convince myself to waste the exotic slot using either of these 2 weapons. and HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE ENOUGH INVENTORY SPACE TO KEEP 1 ADDITIONAL WEAPON?

Neither are very good but thorn is definitely better
-
2 RepliesThorn is a better pve weapon Malf is a better or more consistent pvp weapon
