Bad logic. What if bungie released a hand canon that one-hit-killed to the body every time? Everyone would agree that was OP. So Luna’s is certainly not that bad, but many feel like it falls into that category, rather than just being powerful. I assume bungies telemetry told them that as well.
The real issue is bungies inability to nerf anything without it becoming useless. So people hear “nerf” and all they think is “great I just got my gun taken away”
This doesn’t mean that things should never be nerfed, or that everything else should be buffed instead. That would be stupid. I had suggested a stability/aim assist nerf for Luna’s but we’ll see how this works out. I have also suggested a 2-buffs-for-each-nerf rule. Might help to keep things positive

Yes that would be a little silly. But lunas, a weapon that requires 2 consecutive head shots to proc the bonus damage, is only effective in the hands of those that are at least reasonable at aiming. I'm sorry but I dont agree that a nerf is the answer. Relate this to other sports in the world. Imagine if in Formula 1/nascar, they were all given permission to use a particular bit of technology that shaved 4 seconds off a lap time. But 5 teams refused to use the technology and consequently lost every race. Is it fair to then punish the teams that used the technology simply because the other teams didnt try. Are top football/NFL teams forced to not use their best players because the team they're playing against couldn't afford to sign better players? Lunas is good, no doubt, but it's not the be all and end all. I was playing on my alt account the other day using Trust and guess what... I was still dropping 2-3kds virtually every game even against other players using lunas and not forgottens. And that's exactly what will happen when this nerf comes in, the good players will carry on being good and wiping the floor with the cannon fodder. In a months time after the nerf they'll all be complaining that recluse and bygones are too OP and the cycle begins again. All because they refuse to accept that it's not the guns being OP, its them being bad at a game

People will certainly still complain. Personally, I will be able to hold my own against a good player with a trust, where as Luna’s I had no chance. I really wish bungie would bring back reasons to use alternative load outs, like those arcite bounties or banshee test weapons.
