I made sure I got opinions from all walks of life, and took a full 2 Months to pick out the Bulk of The issues, NOT ALL, But Most..Although this won't be Everything, it's the Issues From Categories Of . " This has gone on long enough"--" This is more like it" "Why did You do That? " " We Need More Of That"

These are just things that we have decided that have had bad outcomes and hope you will look into..
.
BUNGIE, EVERYONE AT BUNGIE..We Salute You !!
Let's Begin, Shall we? Here are some of our suggestions and feedback for the SOLO Matchmaking community of Destiny 2 and the things that could be easily repaired. Also the things that we see most complaints about..
Matchmaking is Not A Problem, It Just needs To Be in More Activities if Not All..Aside From Raids, but that's Another Can of Worms Entirely, so let's leave that out..
The Revelry has already addressed some solo issues..
The Firewalled design is Exactly The Sort of Things The SOLO Community can really feel excited about, and it's a welcomed idea we wish to have in just about everything, I mean, Why Not ? .Freedom of Choice essentially..To Be SOLO or Not Too Be lol..
Why Are we just now getting the option of having firewalled content? This seemed like something that we could have done a long ,long time ago.
Why is this not an option in everything? Forges Could Use The Firewalled Instance ,and be a great addition to Strikes, And beyond..These things not only help The SOLO Players, But add additional Challenging Options For some that want to Try For Triumphs, Records, Emblems, or just bragging rights, meaning more time spent playing the game..
This brings the next point of discussion, more Solo rewarding Emblems, Triumphs associated for these players as an endgame, or again, just to brag, and to chase that should take weeks if not months to achieve, and this would allow cert as in people to really shine in the most unusual forms of achievement, maybe even a title like
Dredgen, Wayfarer, Etc..
Now let's look at another issue.., Example number one..The (Thorn) and (last word )were good recent examples of both good and Bad mechanics and available paths For the Solo players..If the most Hardcore of Hardcore players had the Thorn hand cannon within 2 days, the most regular casual SOLO player may not have the Thorn for a month. This should take longer in the shape of being More Difficult instead of not an option at all..
This is one of the tradeoffs in being SOLO & NOT SOLO.. No way is right, no way is wrong, its just a fact .. People that don't play SOLO 99% of the time are most likely going to have a difficult time because they're not used to how things work while playing SOLO.
Strategically you have to think differently every step of the way and More Planning is Involved due to not relying on others to clean up behind you .
Allow me to give a very basic example of this thought.
If I play a SOLO Nightfall, and I Have 3 kids, 2 pets, and dinner is cooking, I cannot just walk away and set my controller down for too long, or I face Consequences such as Potentially Lagging Out, causing a glitch fail mechanic, both of which would require a need to Restart That Nightfall.. Trust me, as a solo player you do not want to have to restart very many activities,.. as every time you restart one Thing , your just adding more time to finish X Activity..While we are on the Subject of Nightfalls, Because we had at one time High Score Weekly Winner Leaderboards, Couldn't we have the same Leaderboard For Weekly High Score Solo Runs ?
If more Solo Challenges are available it seems to me this would add an additional feel for more Interests in Solo Play, therefore adding more play time, as well as More Individuals taking part in, which both lean heavily in a win, win situation correct ?
***
SUGGESTIONS>
Is there no way to stop Solo AFK Mechanics and being sent to orbit ? Why is that a thing when there's only one person involved ?
I play to Relax, not to feel like I'm doing hard labor for minimum wage.
*******
On the Subject of leveling in Destiny 2, we all have portions we can do alone or as a team..This is something you can never remove from the World of Destiny, I've never relied on another guardian to control my leveling future..The availability to arrive at Max Power Via SOLO Branch/Path, And The TEAM Branch/Path is A Must, even if the SOLO path is much more difficult, ( Which it is not )..Only more Time Consuming which is actually a benefit in my eyes because it takes much longer to complete everything meaning I dont get bored as fast as the ones that have to get the new thing day one..That's a personal choice, who said this game was suppose to be completed as fast as possible? That wasn't on the label in 2014 when I invested in this game. We cant allow speed running streamers to control the pace of the game just as much as we can't allow slow moving solo turtles like myself control it either..Pace of game should always be a bungie decision..
But then there is Always knowing in your mind that at any given step your path, and or fortunes could be changed due To RNG in the wrong game path design, as In (Armor Vs. Guns )or A random glitch/ bug making this not to be a great feeling.. Again, Un Related to SOLO Vs. TEAM Discussion..RNG in Random slots aggravates everyone in the game, but again that's another discussion entirely..
For Me to exist in a world of multiple bounties, and milestones, plus any gear I wanna chase, it all needs to line up to be done to complete at the same time..Solo players, that Is, SOLO players on a regular everyday basis playing by themselves understand that over time you not only will be behind the hardcore fire teams and hardcore streamers of the world, but also any consistent friends that play together in not only leveling, grinding, or farming milestones, but any consistent new content that comes out.. This is the accepted life of a solo player, and it's something that we've had to accept..That's not too say there is anything wrong with this, but it brings us to our next point . Someone that levels up 3 Characters Consistently could be rewarded with Triumphs, Emblems, or items as well as just achieving the required triumph for everyone in the game.. But if I have 10 different Milestones to do and I have 3 Characters where do I start..If I want The Thorn hand cannon and my Highest Character is at 650 light when the mission drops and the light level is 660 or 670 , what are my odds of getting that anytime this week if I play SOLO ? If I want the Last Word, and I am terrible at PVP, does this mean I have to spend 8 hours to get X amount of Kills? Maybe I should just run the usual Crap of Milestones this week and next week we can consider going For A Nightfall Powerful Drop if one of The 3 Nightfalls up are easy enough, then I will be powerful enough to complete that Thorn Mission, and If That doesnt burn me out, I will run 43 Matches of Quickplay and Maybe get the Last Word..Or Maybe Not,
I could get none of the above done because all the Milestones I'm doing may or may not bless me with proper RNG instead of The Unknown type of RNG..
"Chance To Advance" I call it...
Whenever you play this game SOLO
You are constantly preparing for something or multiple things that you want or need several steps later down the line.. Keeping 3 classes and 3 separate classes has its advantages and disadvantages as does only having one player or class or multiple characters of the same class..
One of them more scrutinized and famous topics of discussion lately is the enhancement Core's or masterwork cores and the infusing system.. While the infusion system is an issue with the enhancement cores mostly., imagine doing this and trying to do all this as a solo player.. The fact that you are unable to run as many activities that would actually drop loot for you ,Nightfalls [ too difficult] Raids [ Play solo] Now my best chances for loot would be Strikes,Gambit And crucibles to receive any chance at powerful gear, but wait, that is only on the chance that the RNG is correct. So if I get very little Powerful Gear I would not need to Complete bounties intended to give me Enhanancement Cores for a costly Infusion when I cant recieve any Gear Worth Infusing. to level up and try to run multiple bounties to receive Enhancement cores it comes to the point when it feels more like a chore to play the game than it does enjoyment..
Moving on from here, Next We discussed things within the
subject of matchmaking as a SOLO player in Gambit, and Gambit Prime.

Me trying to put together all the random upper case letters and odd punctuations to discover the hidden code in your post... ... Hold on.... I think I've decrypted your code.... The message is... "Typing on touch screens sucks balls..."... Crap. I was hoping it was like a treasure map.

Destiny 2 is an online shooter. As soon as you play strikes or patrols..you are not a solo player anymore. People who whine bungie doesnt care about solo players are themselves in the wrong for being solo players in a game designed around playing with others. They knew what game they bought.

Had a Stroke just Trying To read The First Two paragrapHs

1 ReplyCan we get a thanos snap over here? This post needs some balancing.

Matchmaking is Not A Problem
I stopped reading here.

Letters at the beginning of sentences are supposed to be capitalized.

-
I’m sure you have a point somewhere in that novel, but it was so painful to read, I quit after the second paragraph.
-
This was far too painful to read. Work on your grammar and getting to the point. I could only get about two paragraphs in before my eyes started bleeding.

62 RepliesThey need to focus on making more content. Not on dumbing the game down for remedial people who can't handle the tiniest bit of social interaction. I've only 'had" to team up a couple of times this entire season. Get a grip.
-
2 RepliesAll in favor for more solo players' options, things to do that are worthwhile engaging in. Long time Bungie group of friends is gone and so is the clan. Don't play Destiny for the social aspects, have little time to play. My experience with any LFG was worse than a job interview and I don't need the rejection and pressure during my chill time :)

18 RepliesNEWFLASH bungie doesn't care for the solo player and they don't care about they're fans they have been driving away loyal gamers in this franchise since D1 started. So they won't care about this. This game is for people who have time to play it with others you know friends. Something I don't have never have had and never will have so I am just gonna get a clue and stop playing this game problems solved.

Edited by Necrogen: 5/11/2019 1:31:01 AMIt's unfortunate that I need to say this. destiny is a online multiplayer looter shooter RPG. Your take on how solo play isn't wrong. It's misplaced. Yes there are things that are solo based because they planned it to be. I'll concede those to you as they should be planned and designed well. Instances of a raid being soloed or the newest outbreak quest being soloed isn't intended and gives people the wrong idea that this game should be run solo. Find friends, get a clan, work together. That's what they intend for you to do. If it doesn't suit you then you should play a different game. Your point about your lifestyle? make time to play the game or don't. respect your self and your time and plan accordingly. It's impossible to expect any game to cater 100%. Think about it. Should I buy a MegaMan game and complain it isn't co-op? Should I play hearthstone and complain to blizzard that I can't race anyone with karts? C'mon man. Get serious here.

i wish it would show how long it took you to type all that shit

3 RepliesStop capitalizing random words. That shit's obnoxious to read through.
-
really? not even google translator can save you, man

So I see Trump started with the Great Wall Of Text! Sorry but my Throne Time doesn’t last this long and I’d definitely lose interest before the time nature called.
-
there is no way i’m going to read all that.

Just post a LFG no mic.

2 RepliesEdited by BC1 Edge: 5/10/2019 3:23:07 PMYou lost me after the 10000000 line, can I get the cliffsnotes? I would be surprised if more than 10 people actually read your whole post.

1 ReplyEdited by lCHARLIEoMOPPSl: 5/10/2019 1:42:36 PMI pretty much only play solo but this game isn’t really made for solo players. Look how much content is pretty easy for a fire team (whisper of the worm quest) but incredibly difficult solo. Look at the lack of matchmaking in nightfalls. Once a raid has been out a month they could add a mechanic for matchmaking where in game and sans microphone people could coordinate and mechanics could be explained but they don’t. At its core destiny has socializing as a key pillar because the belief that it will drive higher DAUs.

9 RepliesOk, let me sum it up. Many years ago, before Destiny actually launched, Bungie's Vidocs told us about their philosophy and visions they have with their new "child". People saying that Bungie doesn't care about it's most loyal fans is outright ridiculous because even Halo CE was at its best playing with your friends (couch coop or LAN multiplayer). Destiny was and still is, to this date, a multiplayer coop experience. It is something which made Destiny so interesting in the first place as a light version of an MMO type of game. Yes, at some point, they said there is a taste for everyone. But tbh, it was advertised as coop game and always will be. So expecting a PURE solo experience is just naiv. In my eyes there are enough options for solo players, covering almost every if not all options: - Story - Adventures - Patrols - Strikes - Gambit - PvP All of that has either a solo mode or matchmaking. What is this whole debate about anyway. I mean, it just started (again) because of that mission. Why do people want to change that. In a coop game you are supposed to have fun with your friends or people. And difficult challenges are always at their best when you play them with other players/friends. Was Halo any different here? I see no reason, no matter how much the solo players will argue, to destroy what Destiny makes Destiny.

1 ReplyWhat class was this essay for?
-
1 ReplySo long that you need to assemble a fireteam to read through it before the timer expires.

Play however you want. Your choice. Keep in mind that most believe that Destiny is best when played with friends in a fireteam. It always has been.
