Ok, legitimate question for dmbfan

Why lock posts about user bans? How else are we supposed to get word out that a certain user has been banned and won't be seen around for a little bit? Do you have another suggestion other than public posts? [spoiler]Moderator edit: This thread has been updated with tags that are more appropriate. • I moved your thread to a more appropriate forum. As for you question about why I do it, I am doing what Bungie asked me to do. As for "how do we let others know when a user gets banned," you don't do it by creating a thread in #OffTopic. Maybe everybody can just join a private group or a Discord server to let their friends know they've been banned. I'd honestly prefer people not get banned at all.
