Zero Hour - Weapon Loadout/Fight Tips

Most of you have probably watched all the different guides but most just say vary your loadout to cover shields and just show a bit of gameplay. If you memorize the different areas it makes it a lot easier. Especially the boss battle. Area 1: Void Shanks, Arc Captains Area 2: Arc Shanks, Solar Big Shanks Area 3: Solar Shanks, Void Servitors - Good time to switch out your weapon if you plan on using a Whisper to deal with Spider Tanks Area 4: The winding hallways before the platforming. Arc Captain and one big Solar Shank. The Boss Room: Front is where you enter, Back is where the boss starts. Clear ads FIRST! As soon as you do a bit of damage to the boss, he will teleport to where you drop in (Front) and spawn the first big Servitor in the back. After the ads are gone get rid of the Turrets. One on each platform in the back of the room. Remember the shields of the Shanks. First big Servitor (Back) spawns with Void Shanks. Second will spawn with Solar Shanks at the entrance (Front). The 2 Big Servitors only spawn once with their Shanks. Groups of Arc Shanks will spawn a couple times on the left and right side of the room until enough damage is done to the boss and a Spider tank will spawn on the left and right side of the back of the room. Easiest thing to do is shoot from the entrance. Hide in a corner near the wall or on top of some grating( out of sight of the tank directly in front of you) shoot the tank in the opposite corner of the room. One teammate can focus on the invisible guys that will rush you if you stay on the floor ( only a few of them spawn with the tanks but they are close to the entrance and will try to rush you ) Once the two Tanks are dead you can focus on the boss. He will hang around the back/middle area of the map and teleport around that area if you can’t stun lock him. There will be two Arc Shanks above him in that area and some vandals/invisible guys. It seems like they respawn over and over until the boss is dead. I found it easier to focus on the boss and deal with those ads after. Most guides say that middle set of ads spawn again when the boss dies but I didn’t get them a few times. Either way once that boss goes down shoot anything that moves until that timer stops and you see a Skiff pull up. Whisper is beast for the boss room. Spider Tanks will eat up the ammo of any other weapon. Whisper also makes quick work of the Big Servitors. Just remember to shoot somewhat slow paced because they will disappear and reappear after 2-3 crit shots and could screw your White Nail. Once you kill the Shanks that spawn with the Servitors you only need to deal with Arc shields. Energy bows work really well for everything. I switched between an Arc and Void throughout the mission. I ran this mission so much the past couple of days. Hope this little bits of info can be of some use to the people that still need a first completion.

  • I can’t even get ammo to drop for currently equipped weapons, let alone swapping weapons with zero ammo.

Ya I switched my energy weapon throughout the entire mission to match the shanks shields. All HC’s as to always ensure I had ammo . Nation of Beasts ( Arc) Kindled Orchid or Recluse ( void) and Luna’s ( solar) and used Whisper as my heavy and my other clan mates ran 1K’s. I found switching the energy weapon to match the shields the easiest way to do it and my Nation of Beasts is the Curated with Dragonfly and Outlaw, dragonfly wrecked when it proc’d , usually killed 2-3 at a time from the explosion. Made things really easy tbh

    • Arbalest seems to be a good option as well, but ammo drops are still too low. Don't know how long it will be before I get my first completion.
