Why is everyone complaining about the jumping puzzle? It’s not even that hard.. Only one person has to make it through basically and then everyone else gets a shortcut. Bungie did that to make it more forgiving for the more casual players so that everyone could make it through. Quit being ungrateful..

3 RepliesEdited by SmokeShadow_27: 5/10/2019 3:08:21 AMTo those complaining about difficulty, here are my words of wisdom. Please take them for what they are worth: I can appreciate where some of you are coming from, but you dont need the gun either. If you can't do it the way it was intended, you have 2 options: 1. Accept that it is out of your grasp, and be happy with the guns you have that were within your grasp/ skill level. This is a tough one for people to swallow, both in games and in real life. 2. Get better, keep practicing, eventually earn it through hard work and determination, and feel great about your achievement that you worked for (much better than a dumbed down participation trophy). In my opinion, it's one or the other. People should be allowed to achieve things that others cannot. It's what motivates us to strive for excellence. It's why kids practice their asses off in sports to be pros later in life. It's why young adults bust ass in school to get a high paying meaningful job later in life. And, it's why someone who spends a lot of time learning to excel in a video game is able to wield a weapon that others can't attain. I'm fine with all of this. To take this away only embraces mediocrity for all, instead of celebrating and encouraging excellence for those who are worthy. Let the over achievers have their rewards. Problem is, the underachievers and less skilled dont like being without. This is a psychological fault with them, not being able to accept that someone is "better" at something than them or has something they do not. I think if you want it bad enough, you will get it. And if you don't, be proud that you tried and be humble enough to admit that you couldn't earn it. Best wishes, Guardian.
Yes I equate video game attitudes to real life. I am fascinated with psychology and how it pertains to our everyday interactions and mannerisms
Destiny isn't a platformer.
-
1 ReplyNo. Bungee needs to add more time and get rid of the Super Mario crap.
-
3 RepliesPeople just get mad when they cant complete it there first run. God forbid you actually learn and improve your runs.
-
7 RepliesYou must not have done the heroic version. It's complete bullshit. Especially for hunters. -blam!- this catalyst.

6 RepliesThe issue is not the jumping puzzle. The issue is the Timer. Some are just not great jumpers and will spend 5 to 8 minutes just on the jumping part. So... yep
-
I have no problem with jumping whatsoever and I absolutely love jumping puzzles and hope they continue to add more that said some people are just not good jumpers period. My Mum plays Destiny and she is absolutely terrible at jump puzzles, most of the time after struggling with it for awhile she asks me to do it for her instead. I’m at the boss room and she’s still struggling at the scaffolding part...she hasn’t even been up to the fans yet! Again jumping is easy for some/you but it an absolute struggle for others

5 RepliesJump puzzles are bad for relationships. I am the WORST when it comes to jumping puzzles. My bf is one of those people that can do them with their eyes closed. Even when he opens up a short cut you can bet your ass I will fail. Repeatedly. Timers add way more stress. I will say that I appreciate the fact that they gave those who are good at these things a way to help those struggling.

It is if you can't jump

3 RepliesIt's been soloed using blink -blam!-ing blink...

22 RepliesBecause the physics can be glitchy as hell. Land as slowly as possible and sometimes you still bounce off like you're made of rubber, or slide off things for no good reason like you're covered in a gallon of lube. I've had several moments where I'll land slowly on a pipe in the fan room and my character will bug out somehow and do a little hop(when I didn't touch the jump button at all), and sends me straight into the fan blades. That's not on me at that point.

Funny thing I recall is Bungie stating they were working on solutions to the problem. I was and still am highly skeptical of that and I've not seen it brought up or addressed since. Just reminds me of the clamber feature. Nice as it is when it works it is still unreliable. It's a band-aid fix for a larger issue, just test the map designs and see if they play well. You can tell that they don't when you are constantly tripping on things you would think you can just walk over. Now you sometimes even clamber over a pebble. The game is of questionable quality.

You must have never seen a Titan at the last jumping puzzle of Kings Fall. One of the easiest jumping puzzle ever and there was almost always a Titan that had trouble getting through it.
-
2 RepliesFor me, yes it was hard on my first attempt but granted I roughly know majority of it now. However jumping puzzles have been used far too many times, since the start of Destiny I believe. I think that something else like a different type of puzzle or challenging boss fight(s) would’ve been better or something a little different.
-
The jumping puzzle isn’t hard, getting lucky enough to get past Tr3vr quickly enough to have over 5 minutes left to kill the boss and remaining enemies, is.

I enjoyed the quest and look forward to doing Heroic. Helps when you have a squad on the same level as you., not sure I would enjoy it with randoms. People in empty/dead clans should look for more active ones, that's what I did and it has improved my Destiny experience overall.

Warlock = easy Titan = middle Hunter = hard Hope it help

5 RepliesMany people have undeveloped depth perception

5 Repliesits not the jumping its the BS after more for streamers not the real players and bungo customers. this is the type of things driving players away and only creates people selling carries

12 RepliesTerrible physics Guardians made out of rubber Inconsistent ledge grab

2 RepliesThankfully we dont have to wait for a certain public event to spawn 👌😜

Normal zero hour is so much easier then whisper . Heroic reminds me of the taken King raid

1 ReplyEdited by ScottF 2112: 5/9/2019 11:44:09 PMI'm not complaining, but at least for me it is way easier for Warlocks and Titans with Lion R. It is probably also easier for hunters who are way better at jumping than I am :)
-
3 RepliesI use warlock and that sucks. I normally get a hunter to open the platforms ahead before venturing. I'm ok in platforms with my hunter but can't be arsed to unlock this quest in it.
