I am a grown man with a family. I have limited playing time. Which means that I don't usually have time to beg a bunch of people to do quests that don't have built-in matchmaking. This, in turn, typically means I simply miss out on certain content. It's incredibly frustrating. Now I hear that the Outbreak Perfected not only requires a fireteam but also the Rat King. Which also requires a group. C'mon man...either allow the quest portions to scale down to solo players or include matchmaking. I'm tired of getting worked by weapons I'll likely never have because of this particular roadblock.
Or am I the only old guy playing this game?

This game is clearly owned by the marketing committees and not the developers and in turn only caters to the pay to play cash cows which was proven in vanilla destiny when certain creators left the game. When you're at a light level of 1075 and still can't solo an exotic mission at a recommended level of 750 the game is cleraly rigged and now that bungie is vaulting content its sad that solo players won't see paid for content. Matchmaking should be introduced to make things easier instead of separating gamers :/

Someone who doesn’t have a lot of time to play can’t complain about not getting the best loot out there with minimal play time. You’re into the wrong kinds of games if you want maximum reward with minimal time. That’s what phone games are for, play those instead.

3 RepliesEdited by Peloquinsoul: 5/8/2019 12:30:53 PMThis sounds like you bought a game you don't have time to play. It's a multiplayer game by design, whilst you're clearly free to play it solo to an extent, complaining about needing a group is pretty ridiculous. If you got time to post this, you've got time to post an lfg.

Edited by RPColten: 5/8/2019 9:37:53 PMIf you have the time to get items like Hammerhead, or Roar of the Bear or exotics like Arbalest and Last Word, then you have the time to get a group together to run an activity.

Def does not require rat king. I’ve only completed the titan quest line that gives you the exotic quest for rat king. Had no issues getting mine. Also used the fire team finder on this app and my party filled up instantly.

Bungle’s never gonna change their policies regarding this element of D2 and possibly, the Destiny franchise. They’ve simply punted too many of their social features to outside sources and there is enough community sentiment to keep “gatekeeper” elements like those found in Exotic missions. In the end, as long as media can be produced and players disproportionately place value in them having something and others not, then this will continue to be the status quo.
