For anyone who deleted the Rat King quest..
Try playing with another player who has the Rat King equipped. This will typically pop the quest for you after a short while.

So I originally started D2 as a hunter and I finished rat king on that character but now I main a warlock. Since I did all the Y1 exotic quests on hunter I never saw a need to go back and do them again. What point do I have to get to in the rat king quest in order to unlock the door?

4 RepliesEdited by BootKnacks: 5/8/2019 2:03:50 AMI just found out you don’t need to complete the rat king quest, you only need to complete enemy of my enemy quest line. Once you get the rat king skull piece thing, the door unlocks for the transponder. Not sure if you have to have the quest or not, but I’d assume if you had gotten the start of the rat king quest(the riddles) you should still be able to get the transponder for outbreak. I don’t have rat king at all and I was able to complete the transponder. Hoping this helps some people out!

1 ReplyI deleted the rat king quest and then picked it up and completed the first mission but alas the door is still locked. You’re saying this can be remedied by doing the necessary mission on a character that has never deleted the quest?
