Destiny 2 wont wont detect my Wireless Controller, works normally in Steam Big Picture and also works fine when plugged in via USB.

As per title; I had my PS4 Dualshock 4 Controller plugged in via USB and it all worked perfectly, correct mapping everything. I bought a Bluetooth adapter to enable wireless play, installed everything, controller still shows in Controller Configs as a Wireless Controller but when i launch Destiny 2 i get nothing. Interestingly too, I paired my Bluetooth Headset to my PC also and when i start Destiny it mutes all sound from the Headset, even other programmes like Apple Music, it just turns them off. Thought this could be relevant.

    Buy a better BT adapter.

  • Are you using the official Sony Dualshock 4 Wireless Adapter? I know Destiny actually recognizes the Dualshock as a PS4 controller which requires the official Sony adapter to use it wirelessly. This is a Sony thing; they don't support DirectInput over normal bluetooth receivers. There are third-party apps like DS4Windows that can map your DS4 controller as an XInput device (like an Xbox Controller) instead of DirectInput. But that will make it behave like an XB1 controller, not a DS4.
