Seriously. It shows you everything you’ve picked up and... well, that’s it. You can’t get anything from collections that isn’t Year 1 stuff cause it won’t let you acquire anything with random rolls. But the exotic armor that does have random rolls can be reacquired, it just gives you a predetermined roll. So, then why doesn’t the rest of the collection work like that? Reasons, I suppose.
Oh, well. It’s really not that big of a deal since we have unlimited vault space. Oh, wait. Honestly, who’s idea was this? Just make it so that we can reacquire rolls that we’ve already found organically through RNG but let us actually use the damn collection FFS.
Obviously this is about weapons and armor. I am aware that you can reacquire shaders and emblems and whatever just fine

3 RepliesEdited by DemolitionLovr: 5/8/2019 4:01:28 PMAt least you can still grab the Y1 stuff, unlike D1 where when it was gone, it was fookin gone It would be a bit to redesign the guns code to allow random rolls but Y2 Catalysts, Super balancing and the demand for NEW items since we're all "BORED AND FRUSTRATED WITH RECYCLED CONTENT".... The exotic armor having static rolls? Itd be easier to acquire the roll you so deeply seek, from Collections if you could reroll, however it'd "shorten" the amount of game time you're willing to "dedicate" to get that roll "normally" Why would we need a Vault with unlimited space? You cant tell me you find, a Cut and Run with hipfire, worth keeping. Its called the Colllection Tab for a very basic reason, and if we could just get the gear from there then, whats the point of continuing to play the game? "WE CAN HAVE DROPS AT HIGHER LIGHT" A lot of players think the chase for higher light is pointless, I have Joker's Wild and find it pointless to go any higher than 650, in most cases. Believe me these shortcuts will effect the game on a larger scale. But you wouldn't know! You want games to be played your way!

I remember when they first show cased the collections system they mentioned they were working on a way to allow people to pull random rolls out of collections, but that was almost a year ago. Personally I think once you get a roll you like you should be able to activate a "roll lock" which enables you pull that weapon/armor out with that roll you locked in.

1 ReplyPlease change your title so I can take this seriously, because this is something I've been upset about since the beginning of the game

1 ReplyWould be nice if we could trade a Prime Engram to pull a random rolled weapon out of the Collections.
-
Or allow us to reacquire all the legendaries with predetermined roll that we had previously obtained. It can't be that hard if it has been done for all the exotics in the Collections, right?

2 RepliesHow do you know what a poopy flavoured lollipop tastes like???
-
while this is a bitter pill to swallow since it makes infusing y1 stuff easier you are right
-
2 RepliesAfter all valid points you just listed, don't you think that lollipop is more useful than collections then?
-
Frozen shit on a stick??? That's a delicacy where i'm from.
-
At the least let us pull curated rolls out . That or the last roll that dropped .
-
I'd like the ability to lock in a roll in the collection.

Here’s an easy solution to fix Collections. Allow current weapons and armor to be obtained via the collections, but make it so that your very first perk set on the armor or gun is what appears in your collection. Basically, you can collect it, but it will always be the perks for when you first found that piece of gear.
-
the reason is They have designed collections before they went back to random rolls again. As expected from Bungie, instead of also adjusting and tuning the features ties into collections they chose to limit what you can get from them so they did not have to do extra work to integrate it into the random rolls.

8 RepliesEdited by Soul_Eater_42: 5/7/2019 6:52:57 PMSame ol' shortsighted Bungie. They never learn, and they never think ahead. They never even think about the possibility of someone accidentally deleting a piece of Y2 gear that can't be reacquired from Eververse or an event, or the fact that they may want different perks on them, but can't grind for it because they're no longer available after a season or event ends. Like the machine gun from the Dawning Event, for example. If you weren't able to get one with the roll you wanted before the event ended, you're shit out of luck. Now, it may come back next year, but it's incredibly idiotic to make players wait for that when it's not even guaranteed that it will be in the loot table the next time that event rolls around. So, yeah, they really need to think about how they can allow players to reacquire Year 2 gear from Collections. Maybe even have it cost 100 Gunsmith Materials to reacquire them with curated or random rolls.

2 RepliesHas Bungie replied to your resume and cover letter yet?

It was my idea for the collection actually. It started out as me asking if they could keep shaders in the character screen and costing a little glimmer and shards or bright dust
-
We should be able to pull everything out with random rolls.
-
2 RepliesCurated rolls should all be available in collections at the very least.
-
If the collections had blueprints for every roll you recieve unlock on within the collections. We can then build our perfect roll once we have required all the perks etc. We then don't have the issue of not being able to re acquire sets or weapons. We then also could have a reason to use gunsmith materials
-
would be great if it remembered which perks you have gotten in the past for a certain weapon and then you can switch them around based on the perks you have previously got for that weapon.
-
Only thing it is good for is the mod component exploit

Collection is great for producing mod components.
