Offtopic Stellaris Invicta: Creating your own empire.

This is an entirely optional if you want to participate. The video above is just music to provide inspirations. Anyhoo, let us begin. [b]Welcome, to [i]Stellaris[/i][/b]. The game itself is a real time strategy game created by Paradox Interactive (Available on steam and Consoles. Great game) but that is not the purpose of this post. I want to have Offtopic create their own Empires, and see which one would win in an intergalactic war. The topics provided here are from the Empire Creation screen in Stellaris.                 • I decided to go in a different direction and kinda got lost so here's a thing! It's probably shit and unusable for your thingy because it's 2 am here and I'm very sleepy! [b]Species[/b]:The Nyleth (Fungoids) [b]Traits[/b]: + Can adapt to nearly any environment. Colder environments cause infected and spores to lie dormant. + Can learn history, language, and skills of hosts. - Parasitic and need host bodies. - Nocturnal, aversion to sunlight. [b]Lore[/b]: [i]"The Goddess Nylethmotep gave us sentience to spread Her message and bring all life together under Her will! Do not resist! We love you! We will save you as we were once saved! All Will Be One!"[/i] - Ravings of a captured infected. [spoiler]It started with a meteor shower, then a strange red rain. Suddenly, people in the settlement started acting funny. They kept talking about a song they heard...then things got violent. It lasted about a week. People, animals, even the damned bugs all went nuts and started attacking everything but eachother. We set up a quarantine to contain the situation and awaited further orders. About a week later things settled down a bit. The smaller infected latched onto surfaces and these purple and red tendrils shot out of them, then began creeping along everything. Later on, these pods the size of heads grew from them and started spewing thick clouds of spores into the air. The larger infected also settled down, but it wasn't much of an improvement. They started growing chitinous armor and sensory stalks all over their bodies. The people had these sickly smiles and would sing hymns and preach about some goddess of decay to any that would listen. Begging others to join them... They seemed peaceful at first, until we got word from command to terminate them all. They defended themselves with incredible coordination, always smiling, always chanting and praying. So we moved quarantine back a mile outside the reach of the spore clouds. We tried fire, but that seemed to make them grow faster. Same with nuclear weapons. Cold slows them down or stops them out right, but sunlight is the real weapon. The infected can't stand the sun or intense UV lights. They mostly come out at night...unless the spore clouds are thick enough to block out the sun. So we use what daylight we can to push the infection back with cryo weapons. A month in we finally reached the settlement and found it empty of any infected. We searched some buildings and found tunnels. They've been digging into the world beneath our feet. We returned to the check point to report our findings when we heard a ship breaching atmosphere. That's when the invasion really began. Seven ships crashed into major cities and settlements across the world full of infected. A month into this, my squad was on recon trying to learn more about these things. We found a new form we called Emissaries, tall arachnid beings that walked elegantly through the gathered faithful on two sets of legs with their four arms raised to the sky. I've never seen a bug smile, but I imagine this horror was doing it as it hummed and buzzed to the same tune as the infecteds hymms. We decided to hit one with an explosive UV Arc round while on a recon op and let me tell ya, that was a huge mistake. The peaceful cultists went feral and rushed our position. We lost six men before the rest of us could get to our ship and retreat off world.                     Name: Er'arktis Hive Species:Arthropoid Advantages: 1. Extremely durable physiology,highly resistant to both physical and biological damage. 2. Incredibly dexterous physically, they possess immense strength and speed. Disadvantages: 1. Specifically adapted biology, they can not survive outside of their home planets unique atmosphere.therefore require specialised equipment to protect themselves in alien environments. Must also maintain said atmospheric conditions within their vessels. 2. Incredibly sensitive to high levels of light. Due to the darkness of their homeworld, harsh light can easily blind them and even begin to burn their exposed sensory organs. Lore/background: The Er'arktis began existence as subterranean insects known for their extensive burrow networks and efficient hive organisation. They were a native species of the planet Sarkor-3, a lush forest planet within the Sarkor star system. Sarkor-3 was originally host to a dominant species of humanoids known as Yersoks who, over time, became an advanced civilisation at the brink of full scale intergalactic travel. The Yersok species however, came to an abrupt end when the star systems sun began to deteriorate under its own energy, leading to extreme thermal events which destabilised the surface of Sarkor-3. A small percentage of the Yersok species managed to escape the planet in prototype colony vessels, but the vast majority were stranded planet-side when the atmosphere began to turn toxic. Eventually the entire Yersok population perished, leaving behind broken mega-cities, some of which remained powered up thanks to heavy duty dark fusion reactors for millions of years. Eventually the Sun burned itself out, extinguishing and sending the entire system into complete darkness. Sarkor-3 stabilised, but the atmosphere combined with the now heavily misshapen core had turned the planet into a toxic hellscape of charred rock and extreme heat. For millions of years after this point, Sarkor-3 seemed barren of all life...until the emergence of the Er'arktis. Having not just survived, but thrived, within the planet after its near-death, the Er'arktis had grown.Moving on 6 legs with 4 arms situated along the thorax , no longer were they small creatures of basic design, now they had grown large, and with the growth of both their physical form and population came increased intelligence. They began to spread across the surface, discovering what was now their domain, learning and adapting to a new world above their subterranean networks. This expansion bought them to the ancient, but in some areas, still functioning mega-cities of the previous rulers of Sarkor-3..introducing them to advanced technologies and ideas which they eagerly pored over, repurposing them to the needs of the hive. In a comparatively short amount of time, the Er'arktis had consumed all vestiges of the old world and had learned from the archives of the once-rulers of their planet. And so began the second expansion of the Er'arktis Hive, spreading through their system to inhabit and thrive on the other stricken planets floating in their lightless realm. Until eventually, with the backing of another 4 infested and colonised planets behind them.. They set their mind to what lay beyond the dark system they called their own...And moved toward the light... Homeworld: Sarkor-3 (arid).a barren,toxic thermal waste planet. One of 5 planets situated within the now-dead Sarkor System. Ethics: Militarist. (The Er'arktis attack anything they see as a viable target) Materialist. (The gathering and assimilation of all and any technology is a priority of the highest order to the Er'arktis) Hive Mind.(the Er'arktis function as individuals to an extent, allowing them the concept of multifaceted tactics and strategy. Though the collective sensory intake and overall drive of the Hive is processed through a small network of extremely high functioning hivemind relays.In the case of the Er'arktis, these relays are known as Demi-Queens and Sub-Tyrants.) Imperial: The Er'arktis hive is driven by the will of the Primary Tyrant, an immensely intelligent entity which is in actual fact (currently) 5 separate physical Er'arktis Sub Tyrants sharing a singular consciousness. Upon the eventual expiration or unforeseen death of one or more of the 5 physical bodies, Sub Tyrants from the secondary hivemind network are immediately overtaken by the Primary Mind until it is divided once more between 5 bodies. In the as yet unheard of event that all 5 of the Primary Minds physical forms are simultaneously destroyed,fully developed but empty "husks" (either Tyrant or Queen form) begin the process of forming the new Primary Mind. This process has never before been required, but would leave the Er'arktis hivemind temporarily vulnerable and uncoordinated until the New Primary Mind has formed within the Husks, and reestablished connection to the overall hivemind through the Demi-Queens/Sub-Tyrants. Flag: The heraldry/symbolism of the Er'Arktis Hive is a simple black background with a ragged red line running from the top left to bottom right corner. Ship Appearance: The Hive Fleet of the Er'arktis vary in size and shape, though the majority of their vessels bear a resemblance to the surface of their homeworld. Blackened metal with the look of melted stone to it, gnarled and jagged points jutting out along the hull in seemingly random positions. An Er'arktis ship would be hard to make out if placed against amongst the debris field of an erupted volcano. The sizes vary from small drones the size of a car, to the hulking Nest-Carriers which could darken the sun above an entire continent if they entered atmosphere. And as may be expected of a Hive Fleet, Er'arktis vessels are hardly ever seen in small groups,quite the opposite..a basic combat swarm usually consists of hundreds if not thousands of ships.

                    Dude I thought I was the only one who liked this game! My race is a reflection of Humanity, only perfected in every possible way... Species: Human Lore: Controversial to say the least, but if we consider scientific fact along with local spiritual beliefs, it is assumed that the First humans were evolved from the African Continent on Earth, and moved North East to the Middle east region, were the first human civilizations began. They spread around their planet like a floral bloom, or, as some would call it, a virus infecting its host. After a good couple thousand years, in the year, on the standard Human calendar, 2658, They mastered Short-distance space travel, colonized most of their solar system, and most importantly had a major breakthrough in Interstellar travel via Faster-than-light technology. When they traveled to the nearest neighboring system, Many other Species were waiting for them as a sort of celebration of their accomplishments.It is also learned that the rest of the galaxy had been watching humanity since the first detonation of the Atomic Bombs. The Galaxy's people gifted Humans with resources, technology, and knowledge, along with a seat at the Round Table of Galactic affairs if they so choose. They accepted. Now in the Earth year 3858, the 1,200 year anniversary of the Human's galactic introduction. They are one of the most powerful and adored Species in the Galaxy, and The Sol system where they came from has become one massive historical site. They have the strongest military, but only use it for the defense of freedom. They welcome anyone, regardless of species or beliefs, into their empire. They are seen as the glorious protectors of the Milky Way Galaxy. They have defended themselves and others from major threats, such as the Kraeik Revolutionary Army, and the Ry'No Machine Uprising. Some Wonder if they have too much power in terms of galactic politics and military power, but they are shut down time and time again by the great achievements of Humanity. Homeworld(s): Earth (Continental) Star System Name: Sol 11 planets: 4 Inner, rocky worlds, 6 large Gas Giants (In this universe there were 2 ghost planets discovered around the 23rd century), and 1 Artificial Ring World floating between the orbits of Mars and Earth. However, it has 3 interplanetary craft flying out of the symbol. Ruler: Executive Branch and Parliamentary Branch of Government Leader of Executive branch: President Rayith Cooperson Standard ship is sleek, but bright with Smooth White plating and Blue lights littering around the Hull. Imagine a modern Fighter Jet, but if it was made thousands of years in the future...
