I've been playing D1's crucible, and I got to say, I'm enjoying it a lot more than I ever did. I think why I'm enjoying it so much is because theres no pinnacle weapons, there is a variety of crucible playlists, there is no depressed feeling, there no feeling of being pushy, I prefer D1's crucible over D2's crucible, there is only one problem though not enough players. So what do you think, do you enjoy D1's crucible or D2's crucible or both.

Didn't you say this above.😂

Man Destiny 1 Crucible was great because auto rifles held their ground. Monte Carlo was my go to primary back in the good ol days.

2 RepliesHow’s the wait time for matchmaking, out of curiosity?

Same here. I spent about a month in D1 again, just to remember the good days. Went into crucible and hand cannons felt better in that game. The 140 type had hardly any large recoil and the last word could actually be used ADS!!! More than just a few blue snipers had ambush or short gaze sights. And the throwing knife could be used!

I loved and still love pocket infinity..
-
I love it too but I don’t stay too long because of the special ammo changes
-
TTK is much better in D1. And no team shooting.

Edited by thatdudeEd54: 5/7/2019 1:14:08 PMI get on a few times a week just to work on my 3 free loot boxes, but thats about it. Crucible in d1 however while it does feel less crowded, its still in a bad spot do to long wait times for special. The primary fights are fun but good luck with a 2v1, but all i see is sticky nades ice breakers, no lands, sidearms, and a few invectives and universal remotes here and there. Thats it really. The old crucible that i loved before the special ammo nerf is gone

4 RepliesYou’re enjoying it because you’re forced to use a primary and the only kids playing a dead game are actually bots. Not saying this game is better but still. D1 pvp in its current state is worse than D2 pvp ever was
-
1 ReplyHaven't played D1 crucible in a long time but I love doing the old strikes amd just going on patrol. Omnigul is so much fun. Really miss her.

Edited by WormChi: 5/7/2019 7:59:01 AMThey broke crucible with the special ammo economy at the end of D1 so people wouldn’t go back and play it. Not to mention shoulder charge glitch they left in for over a year.

I tried, got use to pc after switching in December, can’t go back to 30fps, tried and just can’t. It’s like a slideshow on console compared to 120 FPS or higher if your screen accepts it on pc. Literally felt like I was playing a different game when I switched. Still sucks tho lol

2 RepliesEdited by vmondude: 5/6/2019 8:41:03 PMYup! Still get the feels for that music every time I start it up too! I love D1 crucible! ...apart from no special ammo on spawn. Unless you can use ice breaker obviously, but it can get annoying if you want to use an exotic primary. But yeah it’s so much better it’s crazy, I forgot how much fun Destiny used to be! I do see the same players constantly and the connections can be pretty shocking occasionally but even then it’s still more fun than D2. It doesn’t even feel like bloom is a thing in D1 when you compare it to the ridiculous D2 levels. And snipers, omg snipers feel soooo much better! And I’m not even a good sniper 😆 They really should turn Trials of Osiris back on in D1, it would get their overall player count up! At least until D2 has it again. Although I’ve had no desire to play D2 for a few weeks now.

Imagine this. That was about as bad a crucible as we had in D1 as well. I honestly thought they killed off on purpose so that everyone would migrate over to D2 and yet today it is still far better. Not just there but hell if D1 was released today it would so overshadow this game top to bottom and this is the "best" version of this game. Unreal how bad it is. At least what half or more of the good things from D1 have still not been implemented in D2. There is no excuse for the state of this game.

I liked D2 better when it first came out. Now I don't feel like there's that much between them.
-
Two words Sticky grenades.

After playing D1 PvP a bit recently I honestly have to disagree. Its slow, sluggish, not as many things to keep in mind, and way too easy. I got back to back We Ran Out of Medals in my first few games after not playing for a long time. The weapons themselves with feel and archetype honestly are lacking in depth, there's no SMGs, sidearms take special ammo and are broken, scout rifles are too easy to use, etc. I can keep going down the list. The only thing I can really give D1 at this point is better maps, spawns, and matchmaking So in my opinion D2 crucible is better than D1 crucible but it has its large share of critical flaws nonetheless
-
D1 weapons feel much better, pulses and hand cannons are powerhouses there and no shotty or fusion spam is great
-
3 RepliesD1 has sbmm enabled so pub stomping isn't a thing like D2 Quickplay
-
Love D1 crucible more than D2 Got my TTK Hawksaw Clever Dragon Longbow Nechrochasm etc. No bs ttk No stomp weapons
-
Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 5/6/2019 8:18:01 PMIt's fun for a bit but gets old. Hate waiting on special ammo as well.
-
There are no stomps, main reason right there.
-
1 ReplyD1>D2 by a mile...
-
4 RepliesEdited by blade329: 5/6/2019 2:44:23 PMD1 Crucible is a lot better than D2. Better maps, more choices, better guns, better rewards, better ammo economy, better graphics (console supers) and better space magic.
-
Yes give me back my eyasluna 😭😭😭

most people have moved on from d1 so you are seeing a variety of weapons simply because those still playing have no clue what the meta weapons were, are and likley are not all that skilled with them.
