Fireteams not a guaranteed win

how is this still a thing? why arent they capable to create solo queues?

The current matchmaking system really has a hard time making teams fair when for example on Saturday only 180,000 people played pvp. That’s over 24 hours on 3 systems with 3 pvp modes. If you break that down it comes to alittle under 850 people playing a pvp mode per hour. This does explain the slow matchmaking and why you find yourself always matched against the same people/ teams.

I have NEVER had this problem in Overwatch. Anytime I've seen a stack on the other team, my team had the exact same stack, so it's not impossible to do. They need to disable fireteams in quickplay

The vast majority of which only played a few games, maybe did a few bounties, and then left. So at any given time your actual pvp player base is going to be around 5k, the vast majority of those are in active games so the actual number of players in matchmaking at any time is lie... 50. Maybe 60. In the entire world. And given a lot of people are looking for a competitive edge by using a stacked team, the odds simply favor you'll get matched against a stacked team....... Also... Rather they'll admit it or not they deliberately stack solo players against stacked teams, it's built into their matchmaking system to give stacked teams easy wins. They don't care if they screw over solo players.

Tbh I find this more irritating in Gambit than Crucible. In Gambit, that little bit of communication can just result in you getting absolutely steamrolled if you're solo players. Far too many times I've seen myself and 3 other solo players matched against 2 fireteams of 2. Imo that should never happen.

I have 2 thoughts why this happens 1. They don't have any capable programmers who know how to fix this 2. They just don't care about the average player anymore Overwatch quits games if someone leaves and doesn't penalise you. Bungo could never do this as they are not capable. Always the easy way as work is hard

You expect too much. They coded the quest that we can’t complete because we can’t kill vex on the tangled shore. Complete incompetence and lack of understanding their own game. You can’t expect them to figure out how to code stacks versus stacks.

Have played comp solo and will be fabled on reset, stacked fireteams can be crap and your fellow randoms a lot better, I agree that it'd be great if there was better matchmaking but it's not totally broken and if you play comp solo think about it this way; you're matched in with people on a similar score - if they're in a team it's teamwork that's got them there - one on one you'll probably be better than them if you play smart and stick with your fellow randoms. Funny thing is whenever I've tried to start a chat party or organise a team from my fellow randoms it's a really low uptake - some randoms just want to play solo and not in a team which is also part of the problem - the mentality of I don't want to play with others and I want to play solo and feel entitled to -blam!- and complain about fireteams in PVP when they do nothing to help themselves - fireteams are in the game so either team up or quietly shut up. There are so many crap players in PVP - always makes me laugh whenever I look at the way some people play, capping a zone that -blam!-s up your spawn point, holding onto their super until it's a 1v4, running off by themselves in comp, the list is endless. Anyway that was off topic a bit so hey they could bring bring back solo queue but they won't because back in Destiny they had lots of queue options which if they did this time round it would mean far longer wait times as the already small player base would get divided into streams of whatever they choose to play. The way it's set up at the moment means faster matchmaking times. For those who want fairness and a solo queue go and play rumble and if you think no way then don't play PVP full stop because let's face it you're just not very good and your reasoning is no I want to play as a team of randoms against another team of randoms - doesn't really matter who you play if you can't shoot for sh!t
