How to fix Oxygen SR3 and Meganeura
Firstly, this weapon is good and I like it but I would like to love it.
4 steps to make this weapon a "Pinnacle" weapon.
1. Merge the Dragonfly and Meganeura perk. Leaving one spot for another perk.
2. Increase the Dragonfly radius as Meganeura stacks linearly. +0.5M, +0.5m, + 1m, +2M and + 4M
For a total of 8 Meters of additional Dragonfly.
3. Increase Oxygen Damage with Meganeura stacks. +4% per stack in PvE. +2% in PvP.
20% More damage in PvE. 10% more damage in PvP.
4. Add Rapid Hit perk.
New Meganeura tooltip should read:
Dragonfly increases in strength and size as you apply precision hits. Meganeura increases the damage of Oxygen SR3 as you gain stacks.
And boom, you got a monster scout rifle!!

How about instead of Rapid Hit, they add the Tlaloc perk. All classes get an amazing scout instead of just Warlocks this time. [i]That[/i] sounds pinnacle.

The odds of Bungie listening to this post are 0. You're better off just deleting it and collecting the enhancement cores.

Honestly I think the combining Dragonfly+Mega and the additional Rapid Hit perk is enough. Don't think we need the bonus damage as that can spiral out of control when paired with Rapid Hit. Good idea overall though.

Just buff scout rifles honestly. The buffed dragonfly is pretty good, it’s just that it’s hard to kill things because it’s a scout rifle.

Rapid hit would be a good change. Or triple tap. Or fourth times a charm cause it’s a season of the drifter weapon.

I believe the way it is is fine but its scout rifles that are the problem. They are uderwhelming and need buffing if you change the gun then buff scouts it would become too powerful I think

Oxygen feels like a good scout but it could use a little more love Personally I enjoyed using it but it feels like it could use a little more pizazz

6 RepliesPinnacle weapons follow standard legendary weapon perk setups, obeying a limitation of two main intrinsic perks. Standard barrel perks, followed by a standard magazine/ammo perk, followed by the two intrinsic active perks. The fourth intrinsic perk is the unique modifier that carries the Pinnacle traits into action. If Oxygen is to receive a rework to it's perk functions, the changes would need to be rolled up into the single perk "Meganeura", not into Dragonfly. This means no additional third intrinsic perk functions, like the above hypothetical scenario of merging Dragonfly and Meganeura, then adding Rapid Hit.

1 ReplyI love my Oxygen sr3. Love it!!! I'm a sucker for a good firefly/dragonfly scout. In D1 my favorite gun that I still have in my D1 vault is my AnotherNITC (Nail in the coffin) with zen moment and firefly with a 19 round mag. Loved that gun. Hung Jury was amazing later on when my Anoher NITC got held back. I'm down for any improvement. Scouts in general need improvement in D2.

Thank you Guardians for keeping this post clean and without hate. Very constructive and creative. This post for me was like when you go to bed and then start "day dreaming" you have won the Loto. Then you start thinking of what you would be doing with all that money. Similarly, for a day feeling like a game developper. There is nothing wrong with dreaming and beeing insightful. :)

I think the biggest issue is the Scout Rifle Archetype is abysmal. Someone mentioned adding rapid hit and merging Meganuera and DragonFly which would be awesome. Another idea would be similar to how the Service Revolver is working where it becomes rare but we can grind to get a roll that works perfect for us with the Mag/dragonfly perk static.
