Leveling feels awful in D2

I really hated the Forges and Gambit dlcs, so I basically quit playing around light 650. I jumped on last night to play for a couple hours, and it just... sucked. It feels terrible to login to a chore list that you must complete if you want to progress in the game. I would personally find it more fun to be able to level without restrictions. If I want to jump on and just play pvp or run strikes then there should be a chance for powerful loot to drop during those activities. This is how D1 worked and it felt great. Most things felt rewarding while leveling. I just... don’t want to go to the blind well again. I don’t always want to spend an hour doing strikes. I hate Gambit. What if I want to go jump into Escalation Protocol? Why can’t that feel rewarding? Before anyone jumps in and says “entitled this and casual that,” please hold your breath. Go back and play D1, or go play Division 2 and tell me that leveling isn’t more organic and fun in those games. I enjoy the gameplay in D2, but leveling feels like a chore, and that’s a shame. Edit: someone made the comment that the softcap is too low. I agree and I think if it were raised closer to max light it would feel much better.

  • You're wasting your time man, bungie won't take anything into consideration until it cost them money. If you really want your voice to be heard by bungie, stop playing and buying their stuff.
