Ok, so a nerf was needed, but I can’t help but feel like (in typical bungie fashion) they took the nerf a step too far. Why did it need both an RPM change, AND a Magnificent Howl change? It’s just a bit much. Guns like Service Revolver and Trust will probably just take over where NF/LH left off. It’s just more evidence that Bungie doesn’t respect the time investment and struggle that competitive players went through. Sure, some people paid for it, and it definitely shows, but it doesn’t change the fact that a lot of us don’t have steady groups to play with and hopped from LFG group to LFG group. People will ALWAYS pay for difficult equipment. That market will always exist no matter what you do. Those of us who clawed our way through a frustrating climb against streamers, DDoSers, etc don’t deserve to be spit in the face like this. You can think or say what you want, yes a nerf was absolutely warranted, but THIS? This is too much. They are gonna change too much. The meta NEEDS a change. The game’s health NEEDS the nerf, and I don’t disagree with it, but they need to pick one or the other. RPM nerf, or Mag. Howl nerf. Not both.
Bungie, don’t give comp players yet another reason to leave. You send a message to comp players that they are wasting their time. Why bother going for Comp pinnacle weapons when they will inevitably get complained about, and then inevitably get nerfed? I’d rather not deal with Season 3 comp matchmaking times again, and this is a path to that. Realize what you are doing and ease up on that nerf you have planned, because it’s a step way too far.
Anyway, rant over.
