Fixing other HCs doesn't remove the ridiculously dominant LH/NF from the Meta. This brings other guns into play because everyone who has obtained LH/NF seems to use that 9/10 times. This fix was needed. Yes time was spent obtaining them but that shouldn't exempt them from a nerf especially when they are the main guns dominating Crucible.

OP: Fixing bloom and recoil would drastically change the meta and fix luna's and NF by making other weapons more viable. Here's the proof (PC meta). You: No it wouldnt, because.

Edited by FrosttheVII: 4/26/2019 2:49:15 PMIt's not a problem of OTHER HCs being "underpowered" it's that 180 HCs in general are very forgiving let alone with the perks LH/NF has cause it to be used 9/10 times by people who own it. I don't see much variety on console other than LH/NF-Shotty. This slight nerf with bring other weapon types into the fold again instead of most everyone running some form of HC. I hope you can read because I know my original reply wasn't "No it wouldn't because". You just want to paint it as that as if I have no idea what I'm talking about. They never nerfed Palindrome in D1 and look at how that is still.

You're the one who can't read. Let me try and dumb it down for you. Eliminating bloom + reducing recoil on console = blanket buff to everything Blanket buff to everything = Good (see: PC) Blanket buff to everything = Weapons other than luna/NF become prominent (For example see: Ace of Spades on PC) Blanket buff to everything = luna/NF nerf unnecessary = Good Nerfing luna/NF = Easy way out = other weapons still bad = bad Nerfing luna/NF = your idea Your idea = bad "Removing bloom and reducing recoil won't fix the lunas problem" = what you said = ignoring proof (see: PC) = stupid What you said = stupid Do you get it yet? Removing bloom and reducing recoil on all weapons will create a healthier PvP AND PvE environment and the proof is PC gameplay. It fixes the 180rpm problem, makes other rpm handcannons not trash, and fixes a lot of other weapons.

Edited by FrosttheVII: 4/26/2019 3:26:50 PMI've been able to read a college level since the 3rd grade, so no, I can read it's just your OPINION isn't the answer that CONSOLE PvP needs. Other weapons than the LH/NF aren't bad, LH/NF are just too dominant and run Comp(I've seen way too many matches of 4-stack LH/NF crutchers to not understand these weapons are OP, not other weapons are bad. Also I've been able to run around in Crucible using Y1 Beidenhander and Le Monarque and have been semi-ok but haven't seen stacks of LH/NF just because of the Revelry at the moment.). Do you understand what I'm trying to convey child? LH/NF are OP, other weapons sit in a good spot once those two are adjusted, which is exactly what Bungie is doing to fix. Removing Bloom and Reducing Recoil sounds like you want a cheese mode PvP. But I still enjoy some skill involved on console. The whole reason PC is the way it is is because of the mouse used to aim on PC instead of controllers. Lack of bloom and less recoil helps with mouse users, console users don't need baby mode on. Oh and notice how your examples seem to be MORE HCs. Yeah the only one without a valid argument is yourself as all I see is you still want a HC meta of some sort.

I apologize for coming off so harshly. I'm upset because I feel that Bungie is undermining my time spent both getting better at the game and getting the gun itself. I shouldn't have taken it out on you, and I'm sorry.
I've been able to read a college level since the 3rd grade,
Nice
so no, I can read it's just your OPINION isn't the answer that CONSOLE PvP needs.
I disagree.
Other weapons than the LH/NF aren't bad
Scouts, SMG's, Sidearms, and Auto Rifles (to name a few) I feel don't have a place in this meta.
LH/NF are just too dominant and run Comp(I've seen way too many matches of 4-stack LH/NF crutchers to not understand these weapons are OP, not other weapons are bad.
Personal experience. My personal experience is that 4-stack Luna users are an easy win and 4-stack Not Forgotten users win because of skill and not the gun. I rarely get 3-tapped by either of these weapons in the first place.
LH/NF are OP, other weapons sit in a good spot once those two are adjusted, which is exactly what Bungie is doing to fix.
LH/NF are not OP, imo. They're overused because other options aren't good.
Removing Bloom and Reducing Recoil sounds like you want a cheese mode PvP.
I want a mode where my guns don't kick like a horse and my shots landing isn't something affected by rng.
But I still enjoy some skill involved on console. The whole reason PC is the way it is is because of the mouse used to aim on PC instead of controllers. I don't think many people enjoy ghost bullets and looking up at the ceiling after emptying a mag.
Oh and notice how your examples seem to be MORE HCs. Yeah the only one without a valid argument is yourself as all I see is you still want a HC meta of some sort.
I used handcannons because other rpm's besides 180's will have the most drastic change, going from spotty to consistent. Other examples: Auto rifles will become much more consistent with more stability. Same with sidearms and SMG's. The recluse specifically will be much better. More close range options will also bring in shotguns from being a menace.

I thank you for your apology. I can understand where you're coming from as I'm still in the process of getting my Luna kills with HCs but even if I were to get it I was going to just put it in my "Trophy cabinet" aka Vault just because I don't want to use the popular meta gun lol. I only ever fully have bad matches when 2 or more people hold them but even in moments where there's one I get prefired as they come around corners and just wreck me in such a quick time I can barely get maybe two shots of anything in. And my point on what I am currently running (Beidenhander or West of Sunfall with the Le Monarque) is that there are some viable weapons to choose (even but the LH/NF dominance has ruined PvP for at lest 3 months now (though the Meta started when Forsaken released it never became bad until everyone and their mom seemed to run it a few months back). They nerf and buff all sorts of stuff in Destiny 1 for balance issues just like this. It didn't happen as often in D2 Y1 but that's because there weren't random rolls involved. But with Random and God Rolls they have to nerf things, even pinnacle weapons. I feel they had to have nerfed Trials weapons back in D1 so it would make sense to tweak them in D2. This game has a tricky balance and this needed balancing. I used to run a Duke Mk44 that was a 150 and could somewhat hold my own, so people with the LH/NF should still be good with the tweaks they've set. They're not here to ruin the accomplishment of what you've attained, it's just what you all have attained(and I'm working on it myself) a HC that has truly been dominant for a long while now. We NEED this change so people can go find other weapons so there is more variety. Because that's what we're solely missing is variety, and even with the nerf people will still use them but they also may feel inclined to go find the new meta or whatever.

You should change the word weapons with handcannons. Also, a healthy debate would require both parties to respect each others opinions. Right now you come off as a petulant child.
-
See you get it. Thank you for reiterating my point. HCs are a problem as a whole as their weapon type is hugely successful in many confrontations and at many ranges. "Blanket buff" is irrelevant here because TTK on the LH/NF are one problem but also their Magnificent Howl perk is just too forgiving. Bringing up other TTKs will only worsen things as it will create a slaughter at ridiculous speeds. Nerfing LH/NF is needed. I'm still working on obtaining those guns and in turn I won't have to go through 4-stacks of LH/NF-DRB Meta crutchers in comp just to obtain these weapons.
-
Im actually not fond of the RPM change on them if they alter the TTK significantly. The issue I had with them is the two shot kills. I dont like hand cannons myself, but I think the reason they're used so much is the current map layout. We're cramming 12 players in maps designed for 8 players, which leads to more frequent close range gun fights. Because of this, I think Bungie had to choose between map redesign or nerfing close range weapons. Since Bungie isnt planning on releasing more crucible maps, nerfing handcannons is the easier choice.
