What reason is there not to have them permanent? It's great for cosmetics and I'd absolutely keep the gear longer than the event if the ornaments stayed. Plus, it'd make farming for the ornaments and their variations a lot more worthwhile.

There is no reason. And Bungie can’t hide behind the excuse that they want rewards to feel more “meaningful”, this is basically the opposite of that.

Edited by Nelphy: 4/26/2019 7:16:58 PMLol over 200 upvoters and bungie does not even reply, bungie is just like na we will sell them back to you later. I mean getting players to grind for a reward that is right on the front cover for the event with huge pictures and the drop rate is crazy low SO YOU CAN KEEP IT FOR 5 MINUTES, seems fair right? HAHAHA BUNGIE YOU REALY ARE THE WOSRT DEV. Bungies official reply is it would take too long and the event would be over HAHA, THEY FIX MAJOR BUGS OVERNIGHT AND CANNOT CHANGE THE ORINIMENT TO BE PERMINANT, WHAT BS. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/251846069?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=0

1 ReplyAnyone remember the epic srl suits? And how worthless they became afterwards? Yh....bungie isn't reliable fyi

Ornaments yes ! Tonic, no.
-
Personally, if they were permanent, I might actually care about getting them. I haven't turned in any of that stuff to Eva. Did enough to get the Arbalest just to have and now any tonic I get goes for strikes or crucible.
-
1 ReplyThey say it's because of Development and Testing (which makes no sense), but I think it's because Eververse is gonna start selling ornaments for armor so they don't want us keep these ones so we're more inclined to spend money on Tess later on.
-
I hope they make it permanent, they will not lose anything if they did, it will make players grind for it.
-
Edited by Meatbaag: 4/25/2019 6:12:50 AMI can't understand why they were made temporary to begin with. Unlike every other ornament in the game so far, most notably the solstice gear and season vanguard and crucible ornaments from the first 3 seasons

I agree - its the first time in 2 years Ive enjoyed the armor Im using. I like my antlers. They are shiny and smell like victory in the morning. I earned them I should be able to keep them.

They can patch an exploit or bug in two hours, but it would take WAY too long to make an ornament permanent? Bunch of liars. Edit: I'm not kidding, that was their response. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/251846069/0/0

1 ReplyOnly reason to remove them would be if they have plans to re use them again in future spring events maybe? I hope we get to keep them as well.
-
Yea definitely should be permanent... But since they are not i absolutely do not give a shit about them... Got the linear fusion rifle and im done with this event... Unfortunate how they seemingly forgot all the things they got right in D1 "age of triumph"
-
Make any ornaments permanent ffs
-
Absolutely agree it's completely bonkers they're not permanent. Everyone was obviously going to love it the ornaments, especially since most people have been complaining since release that most of D2 gear just doesn't look as good as D1 gear. I just want to know their thought process... "hey people really want better looking gear like D1. Let's make some badass ornaments... But make sure they can't use after this event or else all we'll see are antlers" The ONLY reason that makes sense is like people have mentioned about Eververse selling ornaments like those and Bungie is too chickenshite to admit it. Too long to fix my ass...

What he said^

1 ReplyI’d just like to just get one. I’m sick of the Bungie troll “planetary materials and a blue” drop every time I open a package.
-
I love how they change colour depending on your sub-class. It made the whole "play strike in the same subclass" easier (even though it's easy enough to open a menu already.) It takes you less than a second to see what your blueberry buddies are running, and adjust acordingly.
-
Just don't praise them if they decide to make them permanent at the last minute, it could just be a ploy to drum up goodwill.

We honestly need items to be able to be collected again since we can't hold a lot of items and imo the point of collections should be for recollecting and not you get it once and keep it or it's gone.

Yes. I love being a deer msn.

Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold
