Light Level Advantages Shouldn't Be a Part of Crucible
Of course, I am specifically talking about Iron Banner. I just don't think it's good for the game especially considering the broken infusion system currently. It even destroys different weapon archetypes. My Jade Rabbit can't even 3-tap.
Edit:
Many people have kept using the tradition fallacy. "It has always been a part of Iron Banner." Not only is this fallacious, but it is also misleading. Light level advantages were active in D1, but they made little to no differences.
Also, some people like to argue that removing light level advantages would take the deviating factor out of the game mode, and that isn't entirely true either. You still have bounties and rewards that come out of Iron Banner. I remember in D1 when that was what it was all about. Always looked forward to seeing an interestingly rolled IB weapon or some cool looking armor. Also, leveling up was frequent. There can still be a motive or a deviating factor for Iron Banner without light level advantages.

This person mutes people when they realizes their arguments aren't legit. Iron Banner is the ONLY PvP gametype. If this person really has a problem they'd go play Rumble, Quickplay or Comp as those have no PLs enabled. Just thought I'd comment one last time as a point since he decided to mute me after saying I brought no legitimate arguement here.

4 RepliesThe difference between a guardian at 620 with a lunas Howl and a guardian at 700 with a lunas howl in Iron Banner is 17 damage. That’s still a 3 tap.

Honestly, the light lvl advantages don’t even really change all that much unless you are around -40 lvls and beyond. There is even a new buff that allows those underleveled to boost that up by 100. If you don’t enjoy it, the mode without it is just to the left of it.

It allows underleveled people to add 100 light. That will get you closer to 700 so you can compete. Drifter has bounties to get you to 640 fast. That is another way to get leveled up fast. Last Iron Banner, I got the 500 Iron Burden kills. I also led my teams and did fairly well at 555 light. Its fun farming guardians with higher light than you. I used Polaris Lance, maybe that's your problem. Sounds like you may need to change your playing style while in Iron banner. Youre ok with Light level advantages in Gambit?

IB has always been about LL Enabled. Didn't they just add boons to even it out?

That's literally what the event is about. If you took out line level advantages them it would just Quickplay with a slightly different Control mechanic. There would be no point to the event.

Surely with Luna’s you should’ve had enough powerful engram drops through crucible milestones and rank ups that you should be far higher

13 RepliesYou're way under leveled for the current PvE content, do you even have the annual pass? If not there in lies your problem, you're no longer up to date for a game mode that follows the progression of the game. The only exception to this was D2 vanilla, in which it shouldn't have been that way in the first place.
