Not to say that you are lying by any means, but they must not be any good at pvp then. I've never seen a good pvp player that can't shred in pve. If they're good at taking out actual human players, of course they can demolish AI. But flip the script, and the same cannot be said. Great PVE players can still get spanked in the crucible. It is what it is.

  • I would say not all PvPers are good at difficult Strikes or Strikes. They just have the mind set of running in all guns blazing with the mentality of being able to do it all. And more often than not, they can't.

  • No good pvp player has that mindset. Good pvp players are good because of situational awareness, which goes against what you said. For example, The reason I have a low k/d is cause I play recklessly like you described and I do not claim to be a good pvp player. My friends who are very good at pvp have strong situational awareness, knowing when to push, knowing when to hang back, knowing who has supers ready, etc. All of this is very advantageous for pve. I think the people you describe are probably bad at both pvp and pve. Just saying.

  • I would say that just because someone's a phenomenal PvP player doesn't mean they're a phenomenal PvE player. They require different mindsets. They require you to understand how your build works in different ways. There's also different strategies of how to use teamwork in PvE. Something I would personally love to see is a phenomenal PvP player and PvE player starting a solo Shattered Throne run at the same time and see how they both perform/builds that they use for each part. That's actually a stream that I would watch.

  • Well sure, that's fair. And I'm not talking about people that exclusively play pvp either. They might have the raw skill but not the knowledge of when to super, when to use heavy, etc. But most players I know play both pvp and pve. And the ones who are really good at pvp are also really good at pve. My point was, pvp is harder to get kills so it forces you to get good, which builds upon whatever pve skill you already had. Or something like that...

You cant crouch around a corner and shotgun your way through strikes, nightfalls, and raids.... just saying Also the guy I was talking about has Claymore, Broadsword, Recluse, Mountain Top, Lunas and Not Forgotten..... so would say he is good at pvp But he doesn't even have a single Leviathan completion. No last wish, no Scourge. He did get to Calus a few times but cant get past the mechanics needed to finish.
