100% serious and important lore question here. Could Calus, living god and Real True Hero of Destiny, have his ship safely eat the Dreadnaught?
There’s no way the Dreadnaught is larger than Nessus, so size should be no issue.
Oryx’s flagship, mind you, has engines that would apparently wipe out the solar system if they went critical. With that in mind, could our one true Emperor safely eat the Dreadnaught, successfully ridding us of this Hive menace once and for all?

4 RepliesEdited by DeathPony07: 5/8/2019 4:50:39 AMThe Leviathan is way smaller than the Dreadnaught. The Dreadnaught is around 6,000 miles long. The Leviathan is bigger than Nessus, but Nessus is only 30 miles in diameter.

3 RepliesEdited by PegaMixeI: 4/23/2019 2:00:04 PMI did some rough sketching and well... see for yourself. (All meassurements in kilometers) According to wiki, Nessus has a rough diameter of about 60 km (+/-) So if we estimate that the mouth of the Leviathan (due to perspective on Nessus) is the same size as Nessus it looks something like this: https://abload.de/img/zoomedinx8k38.png It could be a bit smaller or even a bit bigger but i think putting it the same size as Nessus does a pretty good job. The overall length is a mystery. But according to the Destiny wiki the Cabal whorshipped actual leviathan monsters and thanks to this image (https://www.destinypedia.com/images/thumb/a/a6/Leviathan-monster.jpg/800px-Leviathan-monster.jpg) i estimate the overall length about 6 times the width of the mouth so if we assume that the Cabal built the Leviathan in the same proportions as the actual beast, this would end up in a length of about 360 kilometers. Oh.... and this is how it looks zoomed out with the Dreadnought in the same picture: https://abload.de/img/zoomedout6mkx5.png According to Destiny wiki the Dreadnought is about 3500 kilometers in length. I even gave it the benefit of the doubt and included the spike at the rear as part of the 3500 km.

I keep saying it. We need to get back aboard the dreadnaught and reposition it as a "beach head" against the darkness. That or use it in a suicide run with the darkness. The engine core is an issue but I think thats been blown out of proportion. There has to be a way to neutralize it.

3 RepliesWell, let’s think here. Dreadnaught is roughly the size of the moon, has an impenetrable shield up as of now, and is made of the body of a dead Worm God. The Leviathan is smaller or about the same size as Nessus, which I believe is considerably smaller than the moon, has a rough time eating shielded things, and is essentially a hunk of metal.

Nerf the Leviathan.

2 RepliesNo it couldn't sallow the whole thing as when it reaches the core it'll explode and kill us all including Calus. Not to mention the Dreadnaught is a ship the size of the moon built out of a Worm God's body (not even the entire thing just a piece) and unlike Xol, Akka was strong he was seen to some as the most powerful Worm God.
As a bonus point Oryx's Court would most likely go aboard the Leviathan and slaughter the Cabal so that they can get their own Throne worlds back and possibly get help from Xivu Arath or Savathun if they haven't already. Remember the Leviathan had problems eating a Vex world, the Hive unlike the Vex would counter attack in full force (sending in Thalnok, Fanatic of Crota could be enough to kill the Cabal Loyalist until they get to the Pison Counselors, then they would most likely send in a wizard my best guess would be Balwur or the 3 sisters)
Oryx's ship is about the diameter of the Moon I think.

1 Replythe leviathan should eat the entire destiny universe

Ridding has of the Hive menace? Oh you sweet naive fool

5 RepliesBut will it blend?

7 RepliesNesses is 2 kilometers in diameter and leviathan is about 2 times its size Dreadnought is 1/10 the size of saterns rings and is 50 miles long Dreadnought could ram leviathan like a nun on a windshield

Edited by Your AccompIice: 4/24/2019 3:41:48 AMThis would be a cool cut scene, the biggest one-ship armadas dueling it out till one is destroyed. Although the Dreadnaught is larger, it’s disabled weapon and lack of leadership ( probably) would put it at a disadvantage The Leviathan, although being smaller, has strong lasting leadership and loyal followers, plus some incredible tech. Personally, I say if the Leviathan played its cards right it would win

I skipped breakfast this morning and now I think I could eat the Dreadnought. Mmm come here! Give me a piece of that Hive corruption!

6 RepliesEdited by AeroWraith901: 4/23/2019 6:39:51 AMWell it would probably be a bad idea since the core in the Dreadnaught would most likely go off during the process of getting eaten unless they have some way of dealing with that. But then again, it's eating Nessus which could potentially have more dangerous stuff like the core of Nessus, or the various Vex tech so it's a maybe for me. If the core wasn't an issue at all, I could imagine it eating it by breaking it down slowly overtime like how it's doing with Nessus. Although, I don't think Calus would risk having any Taken possibly getting aboard his ship

From a size perspective, I'm certain it's just not possible. Definitely not whole, but I can't imagine the Dreadnought breaking down into smaller, more edible pieces. The best comparison I can come up with is this - you can't suck up a house with a vacuum cleaner, too big to do it in one go and not enough force to turn it into manageable chunks. Scale is off on that comparison, but I hope it gets the point across.

3 RepliesI’m pretty sure if the leviathan can eat planets, it can eat a ship...
-
5 RepliesHeh. Heh heheh. Ahehehehehehehhh... ....No. Not a chance. Don't get me wrong, the Leviathan is damned impressive. But it doesn't wield paracausal weaponry capable of unmaking asteroids, moons and entire starship fleets with a single thought.
-
5 RepliesIf it tried hard enough, probably. It's like eating a whole pizza. Fold it in half, and you're really only just eating half a pizza.
-
2 RepliesThe dreadnaught is big and all but its not planet sized, the leviathan eats planets for breakfast so I’m pretty sure that yes it could easily eat it.
-
2 Replies
no way the Dreadnaught is larger than Nessus

no way
<How big do you think the Leviathan is? No wait, how big do you think NESSUS is? Last time I checked, Nessus wasn't bigger than our -blam!-ing Moon. Nessus is only 6 times the size of the Traveler, which is a speck of dust compared to the Moon, and thus, the Dreadnaught. Theoretically, yes, the Leviathan could slowly take apart the Dreadnaught. But there's no way it could swallow the damn thing, the Leviathan is only a third the size. You also have to get past the shields that were put up during the Red War, and if Argos is anything, then the Leviathan isn't good at eating shielded objects.>

Leviathan is just another way to say...
Death Star
2 RepliesIsnt it just a giant catfish? I've always looked at it like a catfish anyway..
