Make Redrix's Broadsword quest count valor resets across all seasons
This is basically the last step. I've been at this every season since it came out. I read this was supposed to be an easier version of Redrix's Claymore for the less than hardcore gamer. It still requires a large time investment. I feel like having to reset 5 times in one season is nigh impossible for a non hardcore player as opposed to someone who can play nonstop everyday. I play all weekend every weekend and still cannot accomplish this step. I get this quest is supposed to require a large time investment and I agree it should. But I feel resetting across seasons still meets that intent by requiring that commitment over the player's career rather than having to concentrate that time in a relatively short period. Please Bungie! I've been wanting the Claymore since it came out but gave up on it. When I found out about the Broadsword, I was ecstatic and committed myself to work towards it. But hitting this wall is very disheartening and I feel all my time spent has been a waste. I don't even feel motivated to pursue it this season knowing how much I have to play and how much time remains in the season. I haven't even reset once yet this season. Bungie please change this step to be total resets across all seasons!

I would suggest putting some extra time, if possible, when it's double or triple valor. If you win games with triple valor and you have a streak going on you rank up very quickly. I wish you luck.

Got it early in forsaken, not too hard to do if you actually win and wait for double and triple valor. And tbh it isn’t even worth it. I played 2 games with it and immediately put it down, it’s been collecting dust ever since.

I feel like if you’ve not reset once this season then you’re maybe not playing enough crucible and also not playing at the right times. Every Iron Banner there are double or triple valour available so that’s when you want to really focus on it. I’m not too sure of your crucible skill but Rumble can also be a good mode to play as you only need to finish in the top 3 to keep your win streak going.

I knew I would never reset 5x in a season before the quest even went live. Literally, its only that much to keep the original Claymore owners from crying too loudly about "casuals" having the same gun they have.

3 RepliesIt's possible you just got that burned out wall in the quest. Keep going and try to LFG with a group on double exp weekends that should help you out significantly.

Next week is iron banner with double xp for valor, and hopefully next weekend it will be triple valor like last time. I got my redrixs broadsword by playing mostly during this time. I reset valor 4 times during that week by playing rumble mainly. It can be done, and next week is as good as a time to do it.

Hell no. That would be a slap in the face to people that did the 5 resets in a single season. It’s already not that hard to get. If you’re having trouble then go in with a team.
