I see complains all over the forums about how Lunas Howl and Not Forgotten are OP and I just don't see why?
Sure, in the hands of a skilled player they cause havoc, but so do Ace of Spades and Thorn?
The Recluse will shred you up close, but so will any shotgun or other 900 rpm submachine guns?
I am a shitty player and I can barely hit a stationary...wall. Still I go toe to toe with Lunas and not forgotten players and they die just as easy as players with other weapons.
When I die, it's not because of a certain weapon, I die because I have poor map awareness and because other players are better at angling and positioning themselves.
When facing other shitty players, with or without a pinnacle weapon, it's a tossup who reacts fastest and who can land those head shots first.
So, if you think you get killed because of the weapons, maybe you should consider if you would not feel exactly the same about another gun if Lunas and Not Forgotten was not in the game? Maybe it's not the weapons, but the players better angling and positioning that kill you?
Just a thought...

The second I got my hands on recluse I threw my luna away. I'm sorry for that loyal gun but recluse is my favorite.
-
6 RepliesThe problem is that it's just dead ass better than literally everything else especially as it's a legendary. Even if you both hit your shots perfectly, the lunas/nf will win 95% of the time.
-
4 Replies“Skilled hands”? I blind, paraplegic monkey can average 2.0 with one of those guns.
-
3 RepliesBecause Luna's is just entirely better than every other primary. No other primary has a time to kill equal to or lower than Luna's. Locking the best primary weapon behind an activity that a huge percentage of the community either hates or simply can't do over-centralizes the meta. Not using Luna's Howl is a self inflicted handicap that way too many players have to just deal with. I understand the whole idea of earning powerful weapons, but there should at least be a quest for Luna's that uses quickplay like the Redrix's Broadsword quest. Not Forgotten can remain exclusive to competitive, but people who enjoy playing quickplay and play a huge amount of it and no competitive shouldn't be locked out of the crucible pinnacle weapons. The quest should take much longer in quickplay than in competitive, similarly to how the Thorn quest hand cannon kills were worth much more points in competitive but applied to every step of the Luna's quest, but still be available for both pools of crucible players.

Edited by WulfPak666: 4/22/2019 5:21:09 PMWhy admit that someone else is actually better than you when you can just blame your lack of skill on a gun? I started using Vanilla guns like Scathlocke, Nergal and such and I was dumping on lobbies full of "Luna and NF" players, even with the grenade spam. Yeah the guns are hella overused but only ~5% of the PvP community are actually "really friggin' good" with those guns. I fight waaay move "derps using Luna" than I fight the, "bunny hopping, knee sliding, 360 crazy ass blink master" pros using Luna/NF.
-
16 RepliesGot it yesterday, averaged 20 kills a match when not using luna's Using luna's, 30-40 kills a match just using it. No skill easy to use, op

13 RepliesEdited by DUNNY1981: 4/20/2019 9:46:11 AMAll players have to do is headshot a noob a get the thing to proc and then they can go around one shotting people. And you don’t get the chance to fight back it’s a instant kill.

10 RepliesOn console.. I play using a pulse rifle...I get outgunned, at range, by a handcannon... The range is a little silly.... That’s just my opinion. I’m not yelling for a nerf but saying that weapons need a rebalance across all classes because, just my view, a handcannon should not be able to out range a pulse rifle. And perhaps it’s pulse rifles that need a bit of a boost...or at least some of them.
-
2 RepliesBungie should give everyone a NF quest to do in quickplay. I want to see all the dads and causals get it and we will see if the gun is "easy to use". If you can't land your shots it's the same as a trust. Landing shots is everything.
-
3 Repliesjust my take on it, but if you pair equally skilled players against each other, give one a trust and another a not forgotten, the nf will win due to having a consistantly faster ttk than other 180's. if it wasnt as consistent or harder to pull off, then i think it'd be fair
-
The reason why in my opinion people complain about Luna’s and NF is simply because better players can get these guns. Especially NF. If someone is good enough to get the NF and you cannot Im afraid that player is going to curb stomp and spawn kill you regardless of the loadout he uses. If Luna’s and NF got a nerf I guarantee within an hour of that nerf people would start to -blam!- about the Service Revolver being op lol. The better players will just move to the next best thing and matches will play out exactly the same way they do now.

U on console or pc? Consoles it’s no better but it is on pc But the get gud argument is old They are the better primary weapon plain and simple
-
I heard it isn't a problem on PC but it is on console. It's a hand cannon with the highest TTK potential and has almost no recoil. It makes every hand cannon obsolete in 1v1s at close to medium range (TLW is an exception). Countless times I have lost a 1v1 and know for a fact I could've won if I put on LH. Another step LH/NF is both practically have no bloom unlike 140/150 handcannons.
-
51 RepliesA skilled hand lmfao. Those weapons have next to no recoil.
-
My problem with them is how they are objectively op. Like sure a crap person can't make use of it ain any way different, but with how it is in the hands of someone who can use a 180, the time of one more shot between the 3rd and 4th is surprisingly important, especially at Match Point in a 1v1. It's a little unfair that a perk on a gun changed the fate of the game over the skill of landing the fourth shot when the target is just a hair inch from cover. The perk needs a rework to be in line with recluse. Pinnacle weapons should have a baseline requirement of a kill for their bonus damage to just start cheesing people. Without it on Luna, every fight is a cheese fight vs easy multi-kills for performing a specific action. That's why I suggest 3 shots to proc Howl, but kills do not reset it, enabling 2 headshots on anyone trailing behind for 4 seconds. To keep it fair though, I would say only precision damage gets increased.

6 RepliesPc and Console aren’t the same! Get that in your big fat skull of yours.
-
Just another idiot blaming gamers and not the overpowered weapons.
-
No, they are broken, even in the hands of an average player theyre broken. This is because it can literally out gun, not out play, oit gun most other guns in the entire game other than special weapons but with the rediculous flinch that it has its almost impossible to out gun one with a sniper or even the Arbalest.
-
1 ReplyThe service revolver is what I’ve been using lately and I’ve been going toe to toe a lot better against Luna’s and not forgotten. Totally worth the strike grind to get it.
-
They might be fine on pc but on console they are the best weapons
-
3 RepliesEdited by The icon of sin: 4/20/2019 9:08:01 PMI just want them nerfed not because they are OP but because it will blow some fresh air into pvp. We have had this meta for 7months now and we need a change or we will repeat history. In d1 the thorn meta lasted 9months. Lets not repeat that.
-
5 RepliesYou couldn’t be biased by the fact that you use those weapons right?
-
3 RepliesBecause the guns are blatantly overpowered and have no right being in the game. It's simple really.
-
Must be blind.
-
It’s simple. They’re 180s that can 2 crit 1 body people at any resilience level. They would not be problematic if you had to hit all 3 headshots to get a kill
-
7 RepliesTrash gun, tried it for a couple of games & never used it again
