This statement can't be further from the truth. They go out of their way to make both armor and weapons feel obsolete. Solstice of Heroes armor is the perfect example of that. Armor with perks coming shortly after made that armor obsolete quickly after the event. Weapons are constantly being nerfed when they become considered too popular. IKELOS shotgun and Whisper of the Worm are shadows of their former selves. The emblems on this armor not showing up after the event is yet another example. I understand the logic perfectly well, it is just a mechanism to keep people grinding and I don't like it one bit. There should be compelling things to do in the game to keep people playing, not a constant carrot on a string in the form of new weapons and armor.
