Exotic Armors that need a Rework/Buff

Let's just get straight to it! Titan: -Eternal Warrior (Needs a little something) -Helm of Saint-14 (Maybe, this depends on what Bungie will do to Ward of Dawn) -ACD/0 Feedback Fence (Needs to be more deadlier) -Ashen Wake (Rework) -Aeon Safe (Smh, does anyone use these?!) -Ursa Furiosa -Stronghold (Rework or buff) -Crest of Alpha Lupi Hunter: -Foetracer (Needs a rework or buff) -Graviton Forfeit (A little something) -Wormhusk Crown (Really super duper small buff) -Mechaneer's Tricksleeves (Honestly these need to look more "Exotic") -Aeon Swift (Sighs*) -Sealed Ahamkara Grasps (Rework) -Oathkeeper Warlock: -Eye of Another World (Small buff) -The Stag (Rework this exotic, it looks really cool, but it shouldn't revolve around dying and getting wounded) -Aeon Soul (Oof) -Wings of Sacred Dawn (They need to be changed, no one wants to just stay in mid air and be vulnerable, maybe could grant Icarus Dash and reduce it's cool down or something for Top and Bottom Tree Dawnblade) -Vesper of Radius (Needs a buff) Discuss in the comments below, spread no hate please. Be civil and open minded. Is there anything I missed? Thanks!

  • I've been using Ashen Wake for the past couple weeks, especially after The Revelry started. These gauntlets are solid for what they're intended. The one thing I would add to them is getting grenade energy back on grenade kills. Otherwise this Exotic is actually one of my most used.

I agree with this list. Specifically for the Hunter. - Foetracer - (sure the marking is "kinda" handy, but everything else about the exotic is worthless. The extra damage kicks in WAY too late, and doesn't exactly scale up enough to matter in the first place. :::PROPOSAL: They should make the damage scaling START when a target is below 60% HP, and allow it to scale up to around a MAX of +40% damage buff when a target is at/below 10% HP. This would at least make it more useful in PvP, as well as PvE. -------- - Graviton Forfeit - Boring. Absolutely Boring. Total Yawn Fest. And the added duration to Invisibility is nearly useless. It had a slight case for itself back before they nerfed Dodge, but now, it's just meh at best. :::PROPOSAL: Maybe add something like "Reduces the Recharge Time of DODGE, while in STEALTH." While this sounds "OMG OP"....it's really not, since to get the max benefit from this reduced recharge rate, you would have to be in Stealth for the FULL duration. As we know, this is not always the case, especially in combat. You might use it to throw someone off for a second during a fight, but then immediately you're out of it again as you attempt to counter your attacker. This, or something new and fun...like maybe "Increased precision damage on the OPENING SHOT of your next attack while in STEALTH." This would mean that you get one extra damage shot on your OPENING SHOT while in stealth. So you only get "one" of those. -------- -Wormhusk Crown - Over Nerfed exotic. IF they don't want to at least allow it to grant more of a health bump on Dodge, then give it something more to make it either more useful or help make you slightly more survivable. :::PROPOSAL: Grant's a slight increase to DAMAGE RESISTANCE (+30%) on Dodge, in addition to a small heal (the current heal that it already has). This would stack nicely with what the Helmet already offers, without giving it more healing factor. The helmet appears to be about survivability, so lets make that part a little better. -------- - Mechaneer's Tricksleeves - UGH....where do I start? Useless. Useless. Useless. For about 98% of all engagements, these gloves are USELESS. I see what the dev's were "trying" to do with them, and yes, back in the Year 1 days, with the higher (i.e. slower) TTK values, these "sorta" had a place, since you could survive a "teeny-tiny" bit while in the red....but those days are gone. If you're absolute in Year 2, you're just plain old dead in about 99.9% of circumstances you're going to find yourself in. So you're either running your butt off to survive, or you're dead. You certainly don't have time to whip out your sidearm and attempt to go to town on whatever is killing you. Not the wise choice. That, and sidearms aren't in the best place right now, so -blam!- one in general isn't necessarily wise. :::PROPOSAL: Make it so that this perk activates WHILE your sidearm is OUT. Don't force us to have to "switch" to the sidearm just to get the perk. Forcing that mechanic, while we're absolute, is a death sentence. Allow the perk to activate while the sidearm is out. And the second Part of this suggestion is an either/or (or heck both) suggestion: 1. Increase the damage buff to 65% (similar to 3 stacks of Rampage). When you're in the red, you'll need one heluva damage buff to even hope to survive most encounters. 2. Or, allow the buff to kick in a little sooner, like maybe 10% more HP sooner. OH, and like the OP said...make this exotic LOOK cool too please....soooo boring. Maybe give us a sick ornament to equip on it or something... -------- - Sealed Ahamkara Grasps - Yea, these need something, just a "little" bit more, and my suggestion would fit with its theme too. :::PROPOSAL: I'm not asking for much, but added "Melee Range" with these gauntlets would be nice, and would fit the theme of what its is used for. I'd say to give it a +Melee Range benefit, akin to a Titan's Synthoceps or a Warlocks Ophidian Aspects. Nothing extreme or too drastic, but something to help fit with the theme of needing to "melee" something in order to gain the benefits of +reload mechanic. -------- - Oathkeepers - Bleh. We lost one of it's exotic perks back at the beginning of Forsaken, and haven't gotten it back nor a replacement. Now I realize that it was because maybe the dev team couldn't get that to work properly, but for crying out loud give us a replacement then! ::: PROPOSAL: Either bring back a NOTiCEABLE reduction to draw times when using Bows, OR, maybe add something that allows bows to "READY and RELOAD INSTANTLY". These would be pretty nice replacements for the loss we took to decreased draw times, and they wouldn't make these gloves OP. Anyways, those would be my suggestions.

    • I’d love a Foetracer rework-one of my all Time favorite exotics for PvP. Oath keepers are fine the way they are; could you imagine Monarque with a faster draw time? It’d be gross...but as a bow user it sounds nice...but no. For the greater good of the community, nope. Sealed could use a rework as well; especially for as badass as they look.

    • Yeah, I agree with all the warlock changes. Tbh Ophidian Aspect could use a tweak too. Reload speed and such is nice, but it doesn't even grant extra melee range, and it's basically -blam!-ing useless.

      • Ashen wake are awesome, struggling against lunas? Give them a go. Just take a little time to practice, it doesn't even take long they're in my top titam exotics. Vesper did get a buff, I like that too. It's harder to use than ashen wake for the titan but it hits over 100 damage, increases the speed you drop your rift and can bend corners for cleanup kills. I use it when hunters jump over me or when spectral blades are closing in. Killed quite a few that way! Just wish it worked with well of radiance.

Pretty much every warlock exotic needs a buff or rework. For example starfire protocole, its extremely weak because of its heavy reliance on a single grenade type that is garbage. Wings of sacred dawn needs to definitely lower the cooldown time of the dash along with what it currently does so you can stay in mid air and not be as vulnerable because you can dash more often. Eye of another world needs a complete rework, not sure what but “very slightly faster ability cooldown” is useless, boring, and doesn’t fit an exotic. Warlocks also have 3 different exotic gauntlets that focus around melee abilities, and given that warlock melee isn’t very good those exotics in turn aren’t very good.

          • Dunemarchers need a buff. Dunemarchers are exotic mobility boots that barely increase movement/sprint speed, no longer have tighter turn radius as a base perk, and don't have max mobility without a mod. Seriously, crippling these boots compared to the Destiny 1 versions but giving them some shitty lighting melee attack just isn't good enough. I never took these off in Destiny 1, but I refuse to wear them in Destiny 2. Oh, and this one is just cosmetic, but increase the size of them to be inline with the rest of the ugly and oversized armor. Equipping these gives you chicken legs...

              • TL:DR: I talk about Hunter exotics As a Hunter main, I can say that Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves definitely need a cosmetic update, wether it’s an ornament or just an actual update. Otherwise, it works really well, but is really dependent on how good Sidearms are. In my opinion, Wormhusk Crown and Graviton Forfeit are fine. As proven time and time again, being able to regain your health back from “doing a thing” is really good in PvP, especially with exotic armor, and is really playstyle dependent, as is the same with the Graviton Forfeit. In Graviton Forfeit’s case, it does what it does well, the only problem is that the only subclass that takes advantage of invisibility is Spectral Blades, which imo is going to be used even more once the super is nerfed. If there was some rework with one or both of the tether subclasses to make invisibility usage more prominent then it’ll see more use. Also, it would be dope to have an ornament for Wormhusk that turned it into an Ahamkara skull similar to the Skull of Dire Ahamkara. The entire Aeon archetype should be removed from the game. Speaking of Skull of Dire Ahamkara, Shards of Galanor should generate super energy based on the number of enemies defeated like the Skull of Dire Ahamkara, rather than the number of direct blade impacts this way it’s more relevant in PvE, and it wouldn’t be too crazy in PvP because of how the damage distribution changed between the blades and explosions, and the fact that you can only get up to 75% of a super back, instead of the 90% before they were nerfed. I think Sealed Ahamkara’s grasp should be reworked to give two melee charges along with melee hits reload your weapon, making it on par with its D1 counterpart, and Ophidia Spate should give increased damage to throwing knives instead of giving two throwing knives, with precision throwing knife kills being able to kill a guardian in one throw. Also, cosmetic upgrade or ornaments please, like having throwing knives instead of snakes across the chest plate. I’ll admit, it’s been a bit since I used Foetracer, but I remember the effect being fine, it’s just down to personal preference, i.e. “do you semi-wallhacks, or two doge charges, or something else that fits your playstyle better.”

              • Vesper of Radius is bananas with arc soul tree. Just constant rifts that you can pop people way away and drop 100 damage no matter the distance in the blast. Pretty hood imo. Strongholds are fine tbh. We just need better swords or non-heavy sword would be neat but probably broken af.

Nezarecs Sin could use a small rework or Buff too. At the moment it really falls to the wayside compared to the Skull of Dire Ahamkara, and Contraverse Hold for Nova Warp is way more versatile and effective than Nezarec’s Sin in Neutral-Game IMO

                            • As a titan I would like to see: Eternal warrior - apply shield to missile activation as well. Helm of saint 14 - apply suppression to enemies inside the bubble (shut down supers that enter). Ashen wake - make the grenades a 1shot in pvp, I know most everybody is against that but warlocks have one now.

                              • Sealed ahamkara grasps are fine, obviously not as strong as other exotics but i use them regularly. Works amazingly well with shotguns with either trench barrel or one-two punch, really enables you to run and gun without reloading and gives your dps a boost to its sustain damage by virtue of not reloading after a few shots. Obviously luna faction rifts and rally barricades do this same effect but the gloves give you mobility so you can move and dodge enemy fire.
