Like, seriously, why do they not? They have shit damage if you aren't hitting crits, and enemies have shields that prevent you from hitting crits. They're the most useless waste of special ammo in the game right now. Edit: Obviously Exotic snipers don't count, yes I know you can break a shield with Borealis. I'm talking about non exotic snipers. And before you say "Just match the element type lol," a non matching element shotgun can break shield much more effectively than a matching element sniper. Snipers have very low damage on non critical hits.
